I considered buying from these guys when I was looking recently: http://chickengardener.com/

They have since come out with a design very much like what I was looking for - unfortunately, I was just too short on time and couldn't wait for them to finish developing it.

love the multivalued nature of English and technical-ese .. and the sometimes amusing things that come from fumble fingers

Well ill confess i already bought a smaller one originally when i got these chicks at 3 weeks old. I just didnt want to admit I have no clue in this. haha. I dont want to feel like a total newbie here but its showing thru so well here I am......haha.
I was putting it together and realized half of it was put together with staples and that was a bit discerning as it could collapse on them at anytime so I sold it and am now looking for something more sturdier. The coop I bought wasnt from that company it was thru a tigard warehouse that sells alot of stuff on ebay. I went there and the coop it self was only $125. and on craigslist.
After that I realized I think maybe having someone to build me a more sturdy one and more waterproof would be the route but these guys are to be out there in a few months and Im sort of thinking of just go ahead and buying that one now and in the beginning of the first of warmer weather hopefully have something more sturdier.
Plus that smaller coop the bottom had a thin plastic tray and I laughed thinking this will be a daily thing for changing and if I could find something deeper that would be nice.
Ill check out that link you posted and hopefully can get something built within the next 2 months or so? Crossing fingers!
Thankyou!!!

looks about the same here -- DH, bless his heart, went out to let the chickens out of the coop; I told him he did NOT have to bring in the recycle bin from out by the access, I'll do it later when I go out to throw balls for Roxy dog

DS got the day off today, but he has a ton of his own business to take care of, that he had to let slide while cooped up at the work-release place ... and he's analyzing all the telephone wiring here, trying to find the one loose connection that keeps knocking us off line for internet and TV and even occasionally the phone (disastersville, since his home electronic monitoring requires uninterrupted telephone connection)

he says best solution might be to bring in a second line, dedicated ONLY to the electronic monitoring device: we already have the in-house wiring for that second line, just need to check all the terminal boxes for that line, make sure no rotten connections

meanwhile back at the coop; Ginger, bless her heart, is still giving us an egg a day (nice pink one), which makes me wonder if she has a production red somewhere back in her ancestry; she does have a pea comb, greenish slate legs, and LOOKS like the rest of my EEs, but somehow missed the blue egg gene

the rest of them are taking a break from laying, who knows for how long; occasionally I get one from Phoebe or Deirdre or possibly Anitra

Are these bantys or Large Fowl cochins? always get extra space you will need it for inside water, feed and things in winter and a good sized run because cochins love to scratch, dig, and dust bathe.

We are busy trying to get ready for winter here. second pic DH and the straw boss trying to get the second house ready before snow flies, we are hoping for a few more days of sun to get the roof on. It's 4X8 for our 5 cochin bantys.
