DS got the day off today, but he has a ton of his own business to take care of, that he had to let slide while cooped up at the work-release place ... and he's analyzing all the telephone wiring here, trying to find the one loose connection that keeps knocking us off line for internet and TV and even occasionally the phone (disastersville, since his home electronic monitoring requires uninterrupted telephone connection)

he says best solution might be to bring in a second line, dedicated ONLY to the electronic monitoring device: we already have the in-house wiring for that second line, just need to check all the terminal boxes for that line, make sure no rotten connections

meanwhile back at the coop; Ginger, bless her heart, is still giving us an egg a day (nice pink one), which makes me wonder if she has a production red somewhere back in her ancestry; she does have a pea comb, greenish slate legs, and LOOKS like the rest of my EEs, but somehow missed the blue egg gene

the rest of them are taking a break from laying, who knows for how long; occasionally I get one from Phoebe or Deirdre or possibly Anitra

I'm really attached to my single Ginger chick, and am hoping that one is a pullet!
