Hugs to Cheryl, CCG & Heather!

Busy day outside here after the fog cleared it was quite nice out. Chilly, but nice. I think we are going to try the deep litter method in a few of the coops, so I was building lips at the man doors & pop doors so the shavings don't fall out. This weekend we are going to cover more of the layer coop's run. It's soooooooo muddy! Blech!

I was really hoping to take some Orps & BLRW's to Chehalis, but both flocks are molting pretty heavy.

I'll have to look at the OEGB's, Serama's and Cochin's more closely tomorrow.

Oldest DD was home sick today with an awful head cold. It was only a half day, and she has SAT's early tomorrow morning, so wanted her to get some rest. Than we have our 4-H Poultry group meeting in the afternoon. The girls got their premium checks from the Evergreen Fair today and were quite pleased with them and are now trying to figure out how to spend them.

I've also decided to get rid of a black Ameraucana cockerel I got from CL, who was supposed to be a pullet. He's turned into a vicious beast with the ladies. I've offered him to RobB first, but if he doesn't want him, he's available for the freezer if anyone wants him. He's 30 something weeks old.

Gotta go make dinner!

White Pass, btw, and it's kept open all winter- before Snoqualamie was finished, it was the primary high Cascade pass in Washington State. It's not as scary as it used to be, but it is pretty abrupt up around the summit. It also goes pretty close to CR's house, I'll betcha.

Man is today a crap day.

Just dropping in to let anyone with interest know, I'm letting go of all my Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Marans, my Black Copper Marans hens, my Wheaten Ameraucana hens, my tufted Araucana roosters, my Sussex hens, and a Blue Partridge Brahma hen.

The Wheatie Am's lay the rich blue you see towards the bottom left of my avatar, my Marans lay like the darkest and second darkest egg shown there.

My Wheaten Marans consist of a couple girls, and I also have a spectacular Blue Wheaten rooster. My Black Copper hens are my best girls, and lay the darkest eggs here. My Blue Partridge Brahma is a huge girl, sweet as pie, and very beautiful. My Sussex hens are the biggest you've ever seen and super moms, plus they lay huge pink eggs.

If you're curious, I'm basically dropping my entire chicken flock but for some Polish and a few Araucana hens. (fighting for my rights over the Buff Ameraucanas) Family issues. The birds are all excellent quality and I'd keep them if I could, but, it isn't my decision. PM me for details. I'll try and see if I can drive out to Sequim to make your drive shorter, but, I don't know if I will be able to. . .

I have never heard of that before. But considering I've only had my 1st ever mammo last year and then had all this happen this year I'm not surprised. I've always kind of jumped into things with both feet...

The fat surgery sounds interesting!

Chehalis is still a trek for me and the toddler. I think I'll be holding out for Monroe.
