Seriously I never noticed. Sheesh. I am so embarrased. Thank you.

Sadly I have to admit I had nothing to do with it!

Since we are talking geneology...when I was Rei's age I did a bunch of research....Mind you...this was without the internet (didn't exist then). I MIGHT be related to kenny Rogers.

But I do know...My great grandfather on my mother's side was an inside guard to the Russian Czaar just before it fell. I have a photo of great grandpa in uniform. It is so cool.

That IS cool.

My cool one is that Eli & Peyton Manning are my 4th cousins. For those that aren't sports followers, they are both NFL quarterbacks.

DS LOVES telling people that one!

I bet there is a man who loves his MIL!!!! Thank goodness she stopped by!

I heard the drug can be given in the first 12 hours, though the sooner, the better. His outcome should be good.

My cousins husband had a stroke last year (he's our age) and was on the floor for 48 hrs before anyone noiced. His recovery was slow because it was too late for the drug, but even though at times it seemed to drag on with no progress, he is back to a new normal. He was able to speak again a month or so after the stroke (though it's not always the correct words that come out, and that frustrates him), and he got his drivers license a few weeks ago and celebrated the anniversary by buying a car and having it modified (partially paralyzed on one side). My cousin said that they are much happier now than they were before the stroke because he no longer takes life for granted. He is actively involved in raising their son who is in his last year of HS, he hugs his wife every day, spends quality time with her and no longer shuts himself in the office to play video games. She never thought they would look at the stroke as a blessing. His first few months he was very bitter, blaming her for not checking in on him in time to get the drug. Now he sees that he got the stroke because he regularly locked himself in his office and ignored his family.

Cheryl-sorry you didn't find out the sex of the baby. It is so hard to wait! But what did the doctor say about your heart issues and the problems you have been having? Are you okay?

Thats another frustration of the day. My Dr. never recieved the files from the chardialogy lab. "Sorry not sure if I spelled that right or not..." But she said she would call me personally if there was anything on them. No news is good news when it comes to check ups like this. I'm doing my best to not overstress on everything. Ive been a bit harsh to alot of people the past week from to much clutter and stress in my life. But I'm settleing down from that, and things are getting sorted out.

Anyways back to the Dr.

She said that I', doing great. Havn't gained a pound in 2 months, were both happy about that as Im already heavy. Blood presure is perfect, nothing wrong with the hormone levels check, and she personally scheduled my ultrasound for the 23rd.

Yup that will make the big crockeegator tears run down the inside of yer britches. When I did mine in 2010 my leg was held on the front just above knee and had about 500+lbs dropped on the back of the ankle. Mine swelled up tight all the way to the foot. I feel for ya girly cause I have a little bit of a clue how that feels.

Painful and all too familiar. I have done that to my R knee 3 times now, and my knee is so damaged now that it easily overextends or pops out. I did the first one at 22, then 29, then 41. I found for each year of age you need to add at least a week more to the time it takes for the swelling to reduce.

Get someone to pull out that whiskey for you!

You have a very good mom!

Hopefully your BF will get a proper diagnosis and treatment.

I can trace my Dad's side to my Grandma and Grandpa (East Prussia - too many wars, too few records), though if I can figure out the generation or maybe 2 prior, I can link into the family tree who immigrated to the Midwest in the mid 1800's - shouldn't be hard to do in small town of 9 farmhouses and a church where everyone was related and my grandfther was Mayor, but my dad and some of his immediate family were the only ones to survive the end of WWII. Anyways, the tree that I can possibly link to goes to 1730 and before that I know they are from Finland. Moms side I can go back to 1603. My kids are luckier, though my DH's dad's side he can only trace to Russia and Lithuania to when his grandparents immigrated in 1911; his mother is from possibly the most documented American line going back to Jamestown and John Rolph and Pocohontas! And John Rolph dates back way before that - I think to around 100, though at sometime it entered the book of the dead, and that does not have direct family roots but, I think the nobility in charge of the towns people died in. I guess that long tap-root makes up for all the short roots in our family tree. I stopped using Ancestry.com. International memberships, which I needed to investigate both my parents. Internatonal search memberships are very expensive and yielded nothing (other than a distant relative in Nova Scotia). Their international database is worthless, and I paid hundreds to find that out. I would have been better off hiring someone in Poland to investigate church records (the records that were saved were brought to Poland). Don's mom's line was already known before this. The only cool thing I found is if you click to see the famous related people, my kids have a lot of really interesting people in their family tree; a lot of presidents wives, some poets a lot of politicians and others - Alex was most impressed with Eli Whitney. Put me in there and you get NOTHING! I'm just a nobody.
