Maybe she'll improve after next molt. Could she be dirty? I know I've seen rust or something from my Spitz sticking their necks through the fence.

Maybe she's getting too much corn?

Can she get to any unpainted wood? Hemlock stains that color; my first 4H fitting and showing exoerience was marred by having inadvertantly bedded my mostly-white heifer on hemlock.

Awesome hope it sells. I think I know some people who may be able to help ya find new chickens if ya need to use yours as buyer bait.

I've got to get the run at least mostly wired: it especially has to have a secure roof, as there's an apple tree limb right over the east end that is perfect raccoon/owl/hawk launch pad height. It's going to be too loose to walk on and have an additional loose 2" mesh cover to entangle and frustrate (and hurt!) any long-toed invaders. But the seam is over my head and I can only do two or three joins, even with the new split-ring fasteners, before my fingers get numb.

Yesterday was not a day anything got done on it; we had to chase cattle and then I remembered that I had things my hired hand needed to do up on the roof. I just wished that hadn't included finding a "divot" between my bathroom skylight and the fan vent: another piece of expensive home repair we can neither do ourselves nor afford to pay anyone to get it fixed.

I thought I had everything under control today, but then the kittens-almost-cats knocked the oldest orchid off the table, broke a terra cotta pot and a hand-thrown (bought at Goodwill, ugly) bowl and got bark all the heck over the floor, and that removes all control.

Stupid felines.

Noticed I missed the bit about the pump- well, of a piece of not noticing things that hit too close to home. We just had to replace the pipe above our submersible pump- the well is in sand and the water really acid, and the last time The Boys installed a new pump (they get all the seals chewed up by sand, always just after the warrantee lapses) they'd cheaped out on the pipe and not bought corrosion resistant. Pumps are a constant annoyance, no freaking doubt.

Good! I really hope you find a buyer soon and that everything sails through with no stupid complications!

Thanks! We are hoping the same and we do know how "stupid" it can get!

Hi guys, I am popping in to say max swelling today, day 3, and it is really black & blue...ugly bad.
The Doc office finally returned the call & set up a exam pm Mpnday, so we have to go get the X-Ray disc today.
So far, just laying around & trying to get dishes & stuff done.
I am mastering the crutches pretty good...

I will let ya know what the doc says but no doubt he will have to have an MRI as soft tissue tears do not show on X-Rays very well at all...

So Happy Veterans's Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And thanks to all the vets who have served us !!!!!!!!!!!
