They have the basic poultry food on sale also for I believe a $1.00 more. The price structure is usually the other way around.
Yes, shed works fine. If you are having rat or squirrel problem then spend less then $6.00 and grab some rat bars.
Place them around food area. End of problem.
Those of you who know Cherry Valley road at end of Duvall that farmer who has the beautiful dahlias every year told me to use those bars.
All feed stores have them. She was right they work great. She is a wealth of knowledge if you ever drive by stop and talk to her. Her name is Ruth.
If you want to stick them in cans then you need to take feed from the shed to the run.
I prefer to store the bags in the shed then only make one trip with a bag of feed and place it in my storage feed bin in the run which holds over 50 pounds.
If you have rodent problems you need to get rid of them whether they are eating feed or not.
Besides damage to your house you can wake up to your vehicle not starting due to them chewing on the wires because you come home and your engine is warm they are attracted to that.
City, country, million dollar house or live in a tent they don't care who they affect but you better care because eventually your number is up.

it's her beautiful perennial beds which would be massacred by the leaves and needles falling on them!
I'll take all of the leaves and needles I can get for my perennial beds. What do you think makes part of a great compost?
Add back to your soil what naturally would fall on it and you have great growth without having to spend all kinds of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ for fertilizers and chemicals.

I bought 600 pounds of feed and a couple of flock blocks! My back-end was dragging! The people there are very nice. I also was able to get Alex size 15 mud boots for only $13; and made in USA! Much sturdier than the cute, colorful Chinese made boots that DD wanted. She fot some sturdy US made ones too and I told her she can paint them.

When her pin feathers came up, there was blood in the tip of nearly every quill, and now she is ready to join a beauty pageant.
Glad mine aren't the only ones taking their sweet time to molt; but so far I have not had to buy eggs. From my 29 hens, I get aout 4 or 5 eggs per day. My EE's from Privett and my Ameracaunas from CL are not molting, they are about 7.5 months old, and no eggs yet!
