Rest up, the show is only days away, make sure your leg is really better. Did you say you were taking Icelandics to demo? How can you do that if you are selling them?

I'm so glad you are a bit of a drive away from me, or I'd be there in a heartbeat

Uh oh, I'm going to the show, you won't be selling any there will you . . . ?

Where is this show? I think I need to know more than just Chehalis to find it.

It is at the South West WA fair grounds in the BLUE BARN. Here is the way I would go but others may like other routes. Take exit 79, go east (away from walmart) to the "T" intersection. Turn Left and follow this to Del's then turn left onto Exhibitor. When you get to the stop sign the blue barn will be right in front of you. here is the tricky part you need to make a left right move to get to the gate.

CL, have you ever considered using some of your beautiful paintings and having them printed on notecards? I had a dear, sweet friend who I had worked with for 10 years in my art department and ended up living with us the last 5 years of her life who was a wonderful watercolor artist. She'd had a couple of her wildlife designs printed up and gave me a few but do you know, I cannot bear the idea of using them or giving them away now?

Anyone would enjoy some of your hand painted note cards of course, but if they were pre-printed and boxed maybe in assortments, they could make such lovely gifts for some of us to purchase...
(This is me just thinking how I could get my hands on some of your artwork without have to win it.) If they were available to a larger populace... I wonder what the costs would be to have them done? You've probably already looked into this, haven't you?

Monroe was too far for me to go get feed, so I ended up at Wilco. Less than spectacular prices there, but it's only 15 minutes away as opposed to Del's in Puyallup which is 30 minutes. Of course, going to Wilco I get to pay the $4 toll for the Narrows Bridge on the way home. Gas, tolls, no sale prices for me. Those girls in my backyard better appreciate what I do for them.

The Araucana and Wheaten Ameraucana from Forks are living in the mini-coop. I am pleased to say that the Araucana has given us an egg the past 2 days in a row. Pretty blue-green, and about the same size and color as my small lavender Ameraucana from Pips & Peeps.

However, I am watching the Wheaten carefully. She had been molting when she first arrived and either continuing to molt heavily or her Araucana buddy is picking at her. I haven't witnessed any picking and she isn't wounded in any way, but has some definite bald spots on one thigh and underside. I did pick up some "Rooster Booster No-Pick" today. Is there anything else I should be looking for? Her appetite is good, she's active, but is showing signs of being much more submissive than the Araucana. The mini-coop is plenty big for them, so it's not like they're crowded in any way. I'm hoping I don't have to separate them as that's going to make integration trickier. I got the two of them together so they could keep each other company.

It be worth a try to go into Dels and tell them about the show dates.
Let them know if they did a poultry feed sale those days they'd probably do well advertising on their sign so the show people would see it.
I imagine most Del's do programed sales for all stores but they need to take advantage of the show and you all could benefit.

I bought 600 pounds of feed and a couple of flock blocks! My back-end was dragging! The people there are very nice. I also was able to get Alex size 15 mud boots for only $13; and made in USA! Much sturdier than the cute, colorful Chinese made boots that DD wanted. She fot some sturdy US made ones too and I told her she can paint them.

Or she can get some of these http://www.etsy.com/shop/WithTheRain?ref=seller_info

Those are incredibly cute!!! I have a bunch of polartec fleece, but mostly in camo and solids. She smartly does not show them out of the boot, but maybe I will buy DD a pair and then make a camo pair and a matching fleece pull-over for DS. I'm trying to avoid all major stores for my holiday shopping and can only spend what I make on eBay ... Luckily all tose auctions closed at $920!!!!! I advertised free shipping on everything, and some of it is going overseas, but I think all will fit in the small flat-rate priority box that can go anywhere for $15.00. I'm also using a hunk of the $ for more beads (shame on me, my collection is already out of control!)

Greg, what are those logs at Del's called? Are they the lignetic logs? Also, do you have any recommendations of anyone in the area for putting in a heat pump? I ask only because you are in the construction business, no worries if you don't have any ideas. Our furnace had issues earlier this week, and we got a quote to put in a heat pump but want to shop around. I think we have decided to just repair the furnace now, but want to pursue the heat pump maybe this time next year. And if anybody else has any recommendations, we'd love to hear them!

Stocked up at Monroe F&F yesterday on layer pellets big time! Can't beat that price! Wasn't sure my poor little SUV was gonna make it home with all the weight in there!

we have a Trane brand heat pump, it has been a real pleasure, it is quieter than my neighbors' Carrier and Amana heat pumps

just for the record

While this is a very good suggestion They are well aware of the show.
I buy most of my feed needs at the little private storeabout 1 1/2 miles from home. And his prices are normally lower.
