I can sooooo relate. If mine doesn't GET IT he never will. He's got a city brain, not wired for the country. Even basic country/farm stuff eludes him.

Check horse.com . They sell an off brand concentrate super cheap. I use it on horses, chickens, dogs and plants.

Which reminds me of the time I left him to feed the horses one evening while I took a break with friends. The next morning I went out to feed only to find the wood divider between stalls a chewed up mess. Come to find out DH forgot to feed that night. He said, "no big deal, they would live til morning" Another time I went out in the AM and found several bags of shavings chewed thru and eaten. The horses had leaned over the fence as far as their hungry necks could let them and chose to either eat shavings or starve! He makes me want to SCREAM! Thats why I never want to spend the night at a chicken show or anywhere else for that matter. I will take care of my own animals THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Sometime just serv up an empty plate for dinner and tell him you will survive till morning. What yer hungry here have some shavings. Did Ithink that out loud?? Dang straight.

So, with the new flock coming on Thursday (

), I had to find a home for my BLRW - posted here for free, but no takers. Had him on Craig's List for no more than 30 minutes and sold him (to someone I sold ducks to earlier this year).

Guess it was serendipity - I am destined to have some Icees.

Well I don't mean this bad but IF it was Alex He is a very big young man and could probably take care of that plate of goodies.

If you're talking about the one who was 14 (I think) and 6' or so, that's not who it was.

Yes that would be Ogress DS He is bigger than me !! poor little guy. IF I remember right he is only like 12-13. In my opinion a very good mannered young man. I know there were other youth there and Just because I don't mention them isn't a bad thing it is probably that I was not exposed to them. Just like cmsdvm's DS. I know he was there but I just never really saw him around.

Here, here! I wholeheartedly second that!

Also, let me say that I don't think I met Ultasol, Stumpfarmer, or Ari and that I'm sorry I didn't. Probably a few others as well and those goes for you too. It was nice to meet those of you that I did and for those that I didn't recognize, I hope you'll forgive me. My memory just ain't all that good with folks. Shucks, there's folks I've attended church with for a long time and I still forget some of their names and don't know most of their last names at all.

All in all, I was very pleased with the way the show turned out.

God Bless,

Argh...I totally forgot to hunt you down:confused:. I sorta got sidetracked.

I can certainly relate. At the March show I took way too many birds and was so busy taking care of them that I barely got a chance to talk with anyone else. I had several nice conversations with folks at this last one and met some new folks I hadn't before. Some were first timers and I had a few lengthy discussions with them. Unfortunately, the longer I talk with somebody the less time I have to do so with others.

Oh well, there's always March. Look forward to meeting a previous neighbor - so to speak - and another ex-Idiot Out Walking Around.
