I am still not convinced they need a tylan shot.
If they were on Denagard & there was no improvement...it must be the colibacilliosis that accompanies the CRD.
The Denagard kills the CRD but the colibacilliosis is antibiotic resistant & will thrive in a sick bird.
That is where the solution came in & worked within an hour, all birds were 99% better, and by the next morning I could not tell any had ever been sick.
It blew me away!!!
But glad you found the Tylan, the powder (that goes in the water) tastes horrible as I recall, and no birds would drink.
They will drink the solution.
Hope it works!!

They looked over my stuff once. I have my incubator room seperate from the brooders and storage, etc.

Lyndon is a "managerial" type person. Julie did all the work and he has no clue as to what she did....... (which was alot!!!)

I'm getting ready to get recertified shortly and it's just a bit of a mess. I had my AI swabs done a couple weeks ago and they sent it to the Pullman lab, not the Puyallup one and still haven't gotten my results.

Your birds have to be tested every year, even if they have already been tested. The State requires 25% of your flock to be tested or a minimum of 30 birds or all your birds if less than 30. The feds only require 10% or 30 birds whichever is greater.

Just know when they are coming and keep it clean.

and after this hatch...I will move the other 2.............
Hopefully by then, Lyndon will know what is going on??
Let me know if there is issues when you renew, please?
Do you have a different team over there?
I was under the impression (by RFF) that every county has a different team and different teams have different 'pet peezes' so to speak??

Jean, you really need to show us all some pics of the Bantam Chocolate Orps, parents & chicks...Please!

Not that I can get any more breeds...but I still want to see them!

Yes, I have a different State Vet. I actually have a vet tech from my vet's clinic come out on her "off" day and pull blood to send into Puyallup.

I would have to pay $75.00 an hour for the Vet to come to my house to do it. And, he is located in Pullman, they charge from the time they leave their office and also per diem for the day.

Ben will do the inspection on my farm when he comes to do my next AI swab and that is covered in full by the State. It can get pretty expensive if you live a long way from your State Vet Office.

There are some new pictures of the ones with stubs on my current auction.

I've been pretty busy..... counted all birds that had a pulse last weekend 308!!!!

Got rid of 11 today, so I'm down to 297. Have to be down to 150 by the end of January.

20 geese
3 ducks
274 chickens of various ages from a couple weeks to 6-7 years
