Yeah I am finally caught up, and it's not even 1 am yet.

Hey eenie you and your sisters are more than welcome to stop by. DH is in a fairly good mood, and when he isn't, I just send him to his office to think about concrete some more.

I know you!!! You want an extra pair of gardening hands.

Just kidding.
I may do that tomorrow, if I won't be disturbing your peace and tranquility. And if your DH promises not to bite. Tall people scare me...

My thought is "Do you know what they call the guy that finished last in his class at med school?"

Doctor

I also think about how many people cheat their way through school.

It scares me a bit.

My doctor is a nice woman but somewhat unimaginative, which is unfortunate because she's approximately my absolute opposite: narrow feet, flat chest, and has a hard time not losing weight, no Type 2 members of her family...

Back is mostly back to merely tricky- woke up to the house at 63F so that didn't help much! Have to feed all the chickens today, sheep gets hay, Christmas tree maybe? *sigh*

All three roosters are yelling at me to come out and pay attention to them, so I guess I'd better go take a shower and get dressed very carefully.

And by the time I made it to the bathroom I started puking, and wasn't over that until it got dark- The Nephew and DH did animal care and I was sick.

This is not being the best Christmas ever?

Wow. Seems as if I am the threadkiller this time. Or maybe this crud can indeed be passed on electronically.

one suggestion, Robin --- set up (nail to board or pallet?) an upside down scrub brush near or in front of every run door

yes, they make these boot-cleaners commercially but they aren't as efficient as a good solid scrub brush

excellent for getting muck off the bottoms of boots

(now me? I take my shoes OFF and go into the run barefoot -- easier to clean feet than boots)

by the way, I agree 100% about the Sorels -- the only thing that keeps my feet warm tramping around in snow up at Whistler, or back when I was ski-instructing, in my "off" hours at Ski Acres

We have that next to the dish pan to wash boots off, and I add some bleach solution to kill bacteria.

You must have seen it when you came?

FYI did you know that using animal fats (mink oil etc) Tends to cause the stitching to rot early.

Two years now and no such rot, even washing my boots in the bleach solution water 20-30 X a day.
And I have tried plain Camp Dry type silicone, but the suede gets crusty & wanted to crack, hence the mink oil.
Usually I use Neetsfoot Oil, love the stuff.

I feel like I have foxtails stuffed up my nose all the way behind my eyeballs..........finally went to the store & got some soothing herbal tea with licorice root...and some Nyquil & dayquil...and the ingedients for Tom & Jerrys (YUMMY!!)
Then I came home & made a fresh cranberry/Huckleberry/ Apple pie.....it is starting to smell very good in here~~~~~

Well, everything got fed, so that's good. The outside chooks got some cheap oranges cut in small pieces- most of them got eaten before I could turn around, but not Ian, nope, nope, unfamiliar food, nope, not for him, and he also was protecting Sylvia from this strange glowing stinky stuff.

The worlds only picky eater chicken
