so i really need to bug my genetic friend here at WSU (he does plants but same concepts) I soooo want to make a dino chicken. I think i am halfway there. I made the offspring of my turkens look more like the Mythic type of Transylvanian Naked Neck. they hatched in september and started laying this week.... i have chicks from a june hatch that still are not laying....

On another note I have had coyote problems... so now i have 3 icelandics left... 2 hen 1 roo....
I now only have a Birchen Marans rooster... he will eventually be with my remaining Splash Marans and the Copper Marans and Wheaten Marans..... -sigh- lost 6 birds in a week to coyote... i did rearrainging and sold off my "junk" roosters (25). and everyone is contained (except the flyers.... their choice) and a few days of elminating the true free ranging our resident great horned owl had breakfast.... late in the morning because the body was frozen but the heart fell out and was squishy....
Buddy my Birchen marans almost was coyote chow too.... he lost all his tail feathers but 2.... i collected them all and sewed them on a ribbon.... his tail and saddle feathers now hang in my dorm room wall....
He has filled out really well and likes to follow. I can even get him to dance for me, then i catch him and give him a hug.
I would like to think he is a good Marans rooster other than his eye color is wrong.... but i like dark eyes those bright ones just creep me out. (darn the image rotated after upload)

today was the first day of classes.... hopefully in May i will be graduating..... 18 credits though.... 3 classes on MWF and 2 TTH and 1 online one.... which it sounds like there are 2 chicken ppl in my class on the west side of the mountains but i do not think they are members on here... yet

but if any of you are secretly taking WSU Soils 302 online.....

Yes, it should be fine for water/garden/fish, although you should note that there may be a little extra sodium (Na) inbedded the plastic. I know that fresh water fish like a bit of salt in the water. As long as it is thoroughly rinsed. . .

Hmmm. . . Another thought, do NOT use any "cleaning" chemicals on these. All you need to do is dilute it. You know how the Drano says not to mix chemicals? Iirc that if you mix bleach with this stuff you will get cyanide gas (CN). Use acids like vinegar, etc.

Yes, once rinsed, they should be food safe.
