Wow.. no more lurking in delicious anonymity

On day 6 of my incubation period. I couldn't resist pulling a couple random eggs last night and make a candling attempt. Even with a regular old incandescent flashlight, and a room that was probably too bright, of the 5 I checked, I had a distinct vein in 2. I can't wait to for what I (hope to) see with a decent attempt and at a decent stage next week. Still unpacking boxes (as I have been since Octoberish or so.. I hate moving), no idea where my racks are for my 'bator, but that didn't stop me anyway. I discovered that a neat staggered pattern is holding them in place.

Those are some pretty chicks CL! A friend of mine is trying to decide what to hatch this spring. Will you be selling any hatching eggs, or only chicks and started birds?

I am doing both, even now.
Although not getting as many eggs perday, so far fertility has been really good.
I think I will hold off on selling anymore hatching eggs after this cold belt we are having...just in casse, and resume selling eggs in a few weeks if weather gets warmer.
