I think I have the auction thing firgured out...so now I get to sew some more tote bags.
Texting T-Hi inbetween...she is probably going to be so lucky as just go back to work (driving the big school bus) and get hit with all the snow !
She sure doesn't get a break!!!!!!!

So, are you all prepared ?
We have stored up some extra jugs of water for the critters, got alot of extra layena in.....and fog dood.
Gotta have fog dood.
Got all the groceries in...extra stuff so I do not have to go out & rummage through any freezers in the snow (outside DH's shop & tarped)
Everything looks ready.
There is still 9 Jumbo Olive Eggs in the incubator....set last Friday.
Somemebody stop me !!!!!!!!

Speaking of your tote bags - I've been saving all my feed bags because I knew they'd be useful someday. Do you want me to bring what I have to Monroe so you can have them?

Yes, we are all stocked up, just in case. We don't like going down our steep hill in bad weather if we don't have too!!!

OK... note to self do not search "chicken" in you tube.... there are Asian and central American videos like crazy. and those fighting videos are horrible yet fascinating but i do not understand why they keep fighting the birds when they are obviously the looser. seeing some of those training videos will help me spot people who come and buy my extra chickens cause i realized i think someone bought some for that bad purpose... i thought he was just teasing one my the hard to catch roosters with another to make it easier to catch.... but now after watching these videos i see that is how they get them to in gage and focus. as horrible as these videos are it is still informative on spotting specific chicken practices that are bad. and oddly the roosters with the straw hackle feathers are the meanest. -shakes head- i suppose every culture has its entertainment. us humans have wrestling and football and UFC. and that is what it is, a matter of culture. i realized how messed up that it is i think some of those game birds have a better overall life quality than caged egg layers or the Tyson birds.
I still have a memory of a chicken accident. i got home and went to my friend's families house but everyone was gone to church. they had chickens (which oddly is where i got my interest from)
he would always rotate which roosters got to go outside on the string. but when arrived somehow a rooster from another pen escaped (dust bath hole next to fence) and attacked the rooster tethered. I was a kid and it took me a while to figure out what my mind was seeing. despite the odds the rooster that was tied up survived and the escape artist was...the string was wrapped around its neck a few times. i was in shock and freed the tied rooster and put him in his pen with food and water and then i sat and cried. 30 minutes later my friends family showed up and were confused what happened. i don't like game birds of any kind or any breed because this memory always returns. that's why i try to breed cowardly or cuddly guys of super friendly breeds.
sorry about the wordiness. my moods are suddenly confused along with my rationality. -sigh-
