Well, I am still trying to get caught up. I have "subscribed" but yet I never get a notice of new messages. I have not had time to play with this at all. Very-very cold here. I hear you guys are suppose to get snow. All 3 of my "guys" are over there. Teenage boys are wrestling in Marysville tomorrow and DH went to watch. I had to stay to take care of DD and critters. Gotta work Monday so I don't have the third day off. Hope they do well tomorrow - I know they will. Just worry about them coming home tomorrow night over the pass.

final info on tummy: "non-ulcerative dysplasia". Meaning....I have all the ulcer symptoms...but no ulcer. I just have to watch what I eat and not get stressed. Stay on the medicine. Seems to be doing okay for now.

Well, I will keep reading and try to get caught up. I may or may not. Plus I need to figure out the new BYC...really haven't had time to try and figure it out.

oh, middle (152 lb bracket) son's wrestling "status" right now is 16-1...oldest boy's (heavy wt - 285 lbs) is something around 6-1 (not sure of the exacts). Very proud of them. Oldest started later in season because of bad grades...but seems to be doing okay for now.

Good news about the UC. True UC puts a person at higher rick for cancer so it's a good thing you aren't dealing with that!!!

Hallo, Washingtonians! Figured I'd toss out an introduction here. I live in Anacortes with my wife and 3yo son. We have 2 chicken-friendly dogs (a Boston terrier and a boxer/pit mix). We bought a house last summer and I took that opportunity to fulfill my dream of a small backyard flock. I got a coop and found a craigslist ad with lots of pullets on Whidbey Island. I ended up taking 1 RIR, 1 Australorp and 2 golden-laced Wyandottes. The RIR and the Australorp were clearly red in the face and laying. The owner had a huge flock, though, and couldn't remember when the Wyandottes were chicks. I figured they'd be laying within a month or so. Well ... 3.5 months later, we finally are getting eggs from one of them and the other is getting redder and redder, so hopefully we'll see an egg from her any day now.

Any others in this area? Skagit has been a bit of a shock to my system. I never realized what a city girl I was until I moved here. But we've grown to love it. Well, that's about it. Hi! Hi!

Did my PET yesterday. They told me I would have no side effects from the sodium fluoride.
I got a very nice headache and beautiful nausea. Guess I'm just special.

Should have result next week.

On another note.... I received this US AG census thing that we are required by law to fill out.

Good news: all three Hamburgs gave me eggs today; they've all been laying (they lay eggs with distinctive shapes and tones) but I've only had 1-2 eggs a day from them; today there were three, all of them still a little warm. I won't want to set eggs until calving season is well started and I have chickie-proofed the run- especially since the feral cat was down at the Hoop House last night and started Bjorn crowing at 1am.

Bad news: I was at the point of being committed to feeding the Hamburgs and gathering their eggs, which involves certain vulnerable and pain-prone joints being up in the air and outside of the run when assorted frozen precipitation started to fall, so I am inside warming up and drying off before I finish chores. And then I've got to run errands and buy chicken feed and groceries and get back here early enough that DH and I can have dinner out and then buy more groceries, for that is the shape of all my weekends.

Hi guys!!

I have to do some bragging for a little bit or I might just explode!!!!

My incredible, amazing, beautiful and smart DD Kayla has achieved some great things lately.

She was one of the 1st sophomores to hold a manager position at her high school.

She is the 1st junior ever to be store manager at her school.

And now.......... The 1st person EVER at her high school to be voted DECA President of area 7!!!!!

She also submitted a manual on "School based Enterprising" to a national competition!

Her sister has been the CEO of the school company that handles all of the clothing items sold at the school and,also submitted a "Learn & Earn" project to a state competition!

For those of you who do not know.... Bonney Lake High School has quite a business & marketing program. My DD started taking the classes sort of just for fun and realized how much it really took to run a business or company. She then set her mind to going to the top and she did very quickly!
The Area 7 Presidency is a HUGE step for college! DECA has some great scholarship opportunities for it's officers!

I'm so proud of both of my girls for being the wonderful young ladies that they are!
