Well we went to town, got some stuff done & everything is so pretty.
Then cleaned poop boards.
My chookies do not want to go outside.
They are all inside playing poker & some complained they wanted cable TV installed as they are very board.
The Turkeys have no issue with snow & have been outside the whole time.
Mr Tom does want a stocking cap though, as his head is turning blue & a lovely shade of turquoise, and I told him so.
The restaurant I supply eggs to is not doing such a big business lately since X-mas & now this snow....town is kind of empty.

So, I am lazing around now.
Apparently we are in for a serious storm of snow starting tonight.
We had 3 " yesterday then it started to melt, and then froze & got at least 4" last night...still another 2" so far today..........weather dudes are saying up to 10" tonight even down to sea level.......

Glad we are stocked up !!!!!!!!!!!
Hold on peeps !
The BIG snow is coming !!

Well, I figured out today why Rocky went crazy within the last week. Seems the girls were closer to maturity than I thought:

Yep – my first eggs!!! Woo hoo!!! So I get it now, but still think that Rocky has to go based on his behavior – unless through some miracle he settles down now that he’s getting what he wants. The good news is that he didn’t come after me today. The bad news is that I don’t trust him AT ALL and have to pack a tennis racquet and wear gloves whenever I go in. Oh, that, and I’m afraid to say Hi to the girls because it’ll likely set him off...
congratulations ! :clap :love nice eggs ...

I have like 1.5-2" of snow. This makes me think of a few years ago when my mother canceled Christmas. There was 6-8" of snow in Tacoma and about 14-16" in Olympia.

Still below freezing here, but the roads are clear. I took my youngest brother to the barn with me so he coud go sledding. He had a blast, but the horses freaked out over the scarey green monster charging down the hill at them! lol Pea brained critters.

Im trying to kill some time before I have to leave at 3:30 to go pick up my DH. Im tired of driving, to many stupid people out and about. On the way home from the barn there was a brand new subaru smacked sideways into a pole and flipped onto its side in the ditch! AND the roads are clear! My best guess, the lady was talking on her cell and swerved into the slush on the side of the road. Oh well one more 50 mile outting for me. But Im leaving DD home with her unkle. No need to drag her along with all the not so smart people on the roads.

My birds dont seem to mind the snow. They've scratched there way through to the dirt, have excavated nice dry patches under all 3 of the horse trailers and can be seen dustbathing. lol

We have about 3 inches of snow here. Yesterday the snow was lava to everyone except the brahmas and a couple rocks. Today they were all out in it scratching down to the grass to eat it. You'd think I didn't feed them with how desperately they were gobbling it. Never mind they have two full feeders and nice alfalfa hay to partake of in their shelter. That's only good if you can't find the grass. I sat out there feeding hay leaves to Omelet, my garbage can of a rock, for quite a while. Of course if someone else is eating it, everyone has to come and try and take it and eat it.

The dogs have gone psycho. They would be outside 24 hours a day running and playing if they could. Which was all great until my GSD ran smack dab into the 10x10 dog run and skinned an inch by 1/4 inch right below her eye. It was kind of funny to watch because she bounced and was dazed for a moment trying to figure out what hit her. Then I had to make her lay down so I could check her out. It's fine, just is probably sore.

Don't be afraid of him just watch him and wack him when ever he makes even a tiny move... pet and play with the girls they are YOURS not his.... if he gets ornery wack him again.... * I am not advocating abuse! But a good solid thump and if you can chase or pin him down will teach him you are the head, you decide when what where and he is just a second in command when your not around. Ok that all being said... if he is not some real special rooster I'd camp him and go for another one. OH and make sure he walks/runs from you in the end or totally goes limp and gives up. Never run from him that will only feed his idea that he is top and challenge you more.
