the question, was does anyone know the hatchery that sells this incubator clean out special.

I do not take part in such events, But I will put my 2 cents in here & say IF ya do, you'll be sorry !
You are gonna get a WHOLE LOTTA weird cockerels !
The hen chicks sell fast, the boyz get kicked to the curb and sold either for pet food or in some "special" you are describing.
Hey, I gottta clean out special for ya !

A whole pen of them ! Great price too !

Well, I am home & catching up & ready to watch the dog show !
And had a great time at TotalClours' home as she hosted lunch !!
Fantastic soup (I need the recipe !) and FlyRobinFly also and WA4-HPoultryMom !!!!!!!
So good to see you all again!
AND the reason for the meet was hatching eggs I brought back from OR from Cloverleaf to go to WA4-HPoultryMom...and WINE corks I got from a friend (tons of them !) given out to all for crafts...and as usual we had so much food !!!!!
I'll tell you all what: I thought I was the queen of fences...for poultry protection...But TotalColour has it all !
And it is all electrified, even the rabbit cages areas..........
A lovely place, with pond.
And quiet for being in the city....and a sense of peace at her home & grounds.
Good vibes and peace.
Thanks for having me Katie !!!

I am for sure gonna try to make T's tea, but it will be daylight...and then we have to get home.
The other issue is Grandson Ryan's BD is probably gonna be the same weekend, that celebration in Monroe...so we shall see & I ain't promising, but I'll tell ya all, a party at T's is alot of fun, great wholesome food (she has allergies too !) and so much loving comraderie !!!

CR: are ya going ? Maybe if we go we can swing by & get you & DH in our van, we have the backseat for it....DW & I can sit in back...you can bring the pocket rooster.....what do ya say ?

So I'm starting to get worried about that six-month-old brahma that ended up under the roosts the other day. I found her there again, along with four pale brown eggs! I got her and the eggs out, then turned around to see her drop between the roosts to get back down there - she was looking for her eggs! Got her back out and realized that she's got nothing in her crop. Put her at the feeder, she ate two pellets then jumped up on the roosts and dropped down underneath again.
I mean, I get going broody but isn't she young for that? And under the roosts? Ick...
Fortunately there's already a chicken ladder under the roosts - just have to make sure she knows how to use it. If she were to hatch them, they'd be a buff brahma / silkie cross. Could be cute...

Last year I had an EE go broody when she was not quite 6 months. I tried breaking her of her broodiness for months, and finally, I gave in and got 4 fertile eggs from CGG. She hatched 4 beautiful BCM's in June!

She knows what Pele's hair is !
Pele's hair is a moss that grows on the rainy side, long strings of it, and is a type of air plant....just have to mist it every so often.
My brother had a 6 foot hunk draped over his shower head in his walk in giant shower~~~~~~ it is gray-blue

Oooohhh! Now I need some Pele's hair. My walk in shower has 2 heads, so that would mean that I need twice as much. :p  :lau

not sure I can get any to you; the Dept of Ag here has some very stringent regulations about what can be mailed out or taken out, as far as plants, etc

I know the kukui nut leis will be okay, they are common as anything === all the tourists get them, and I doubt that the inspectors would notice that mine are NOT the commercial ones

but the Pele's hair might be a problem; first of all it doesn't grow on this side of the island, I'd have to go around most of the way to Hana to get it, and find someone willing to let me scrounge some from their property (many in that area are growing marijuana and they do NOT look favorably on anyone visiting)

I'll ask Mary if she knows of anyone with some; she used to live in Hana and knows almost everyone there

Two more of our Silkies started crowing this weekend and we're getting desperate now. Anyone within an hour's drive of Whidbey have Silkie laying (or soon to be) pullets for sale? Looking to add to our breeding flock ASAP. Our poor guys are lonely, with only 2 ladies a piece.

Thank you!
