Well today was the big day that my white silkie hen has been waiting for. See she normally lays 4-6 eggs then goes broody for a month or more. Well today I put her to work earning her keep. I put her in the barn and gave her 6 RIR B eggs. At first she was not very proud of me for taking her away from her flock (RIR B). She was just throwin a big ole fit. But then after a couple minutes she settled right down on them eggs and I am confident she will do fine. So here's hopin fer my first RIR B hatch.

... too bad "less dirty" is not synonymous with "clean".

I have seen a lot of post on the up and coming show in Monroe. I have never been at a bird show before so I was wondering what its like? Like a fair? Is it open to the public? Is there entry fee or something? Thanks

Yes very much like the way the birds are shown at the fair. There is a fee to show but to go look is free. Yes it is open to public.

I couldn't agree with you more. It really should be synonymous. Whoever wrote the definitions did not live in the country. Living in a rural paradise has its drawbacks...one of which is chronic, constant, persistent dirt!!!

Changing Font Size / Zooming in Chrome

Go to the wrench icon in upper right.

Click on wrench and a drop down menu appears.

There is a zoom option, increase your zoom to 140% or whatever suits your viewing pleasure.


Go to the options option (a bit redundant)

On the left side of the page click on the "under the hood option"

You can change font size to very large, as well as your zoom level here.


Once again, in the options option:

Select personal stuff from the left side of the page,

Near the browsing data line in bold, Select import data from another browser.

Your favorites will be imported.


Once again in the options option,

Select Basics on the left side of the page,

Next to toolbar in bold: Check the box to show home button.
Check the box to always show bookmarks bar

You favorites as imported from your current browser will show on the bookmarks bar.

Okay, I am 244 posts behind with no chance on getting caught up tonight. I leave for Bonney Lake in the morning to stay with T Hi. I will be going to the Tacoma Dome on Friday and Saturday to wtch the boys. Very excited.

I hope you don't mind...I want to post a couple photos...no they are not chicken related. These photos were taken of the boys at Regionals in Colville last Saturday. I'm only a little proud (just a little cantcha tell?).

This is Jacob (the 16 yo) at Regionals...Jacob is in Black. Jacob won this match. Jacob wrestles 152 lbs


David winning a match at regionals - Davis is heavy wt - 285 lbs.

I showed these to DS - he quit wrestling because there is never anyone big enough for him to wrestle here. He's 13 and probably weighs about 240. I think he's 6'5" by now. He was happy to see there is someone out there wrestling who weighs more than him and looks great. He's going to do track this spring - shotput and something else.

I throw a fit when the kids walk in fram the yard with their mud-boots on and track chicken poop into my kitchen! You'd think a few times of making them clean up the mess would be enough to get them to remove their shoes.

Thank you and uh no! He's only 20!!! he told me when I saw him, those were plans for WAY... in the future he has to many things he wants to do and go to school and stuff, so girls are kinda on the back burner for now!! Fine with me! I can wait to be a ganny!! LOL!!
