Hey YOU were the one that wanted to trade remember??? I can't help it if they are just the best ducks in the world!!! They get along with chickens cause they were raised free range with them, and even tho my dog wasn't allowed in the pasture with them, she was always on the outside, not too far away, and the cats slept with them, so, yea they have been exposed to a lot! I guess I claim ignorance when it comes to geese and ducks, I know I've heard of geese chasing you and I never wanted any because of it, in all the research I've done on Sovies, the only time one would do something like that, is if you kept them by themselves and allowed them to bond with you one on one. Then I read, they may get aggressive thinking you are their girlfriend around breeding time. Other than that, most people don't raise them separate like that, and they usually do a good job of staying clear of people. At one time I tried to people tame them but, I just had too many and not enough time. These girls are from the end of summer, I had way too many at the time and couldn't handle them all.

Dang ! They are the sweetest girls !! I love their wee mewling....I have goodies for them to eat....and I do not know if I can "do them in"......and I am blaming you for bringing the cutest duck girlies !!!

Hey guys! I don't get on here much anymore and will probably be on here less and less. I'm selling most of my flock (keeping a few breeds to show) and pretty much leaving BYC.

I recently received a horrible, degrading and totally bizarre, downright rude e-mail from someone (from BYC) and I'm confused, hurt and feel utterly saddened by it. I won't name names but this person knows who they are.

Anyway, you guys are all awesome, I do miss talking to you all and hope to see some of you at upcoming shows!

Heather, I'm not exactly a charter member, and I don't know you, only read your posts. But I do think that if someone has hurt you, you should write back and let them know how you feel.

There should not be ANY flaming or nastiness on any of these threads. If anyone says something that upsets someone else, it is either a misunderstanding (so we should discuss it, and resolve the problem) or it's deliberate, and should not be tolerated.

I hope you don't go. VelvettFogg went and I think it was because of a misunderstanding.

Don't let any nastiness make you go away with unhappy feelings. Sometimes, we try to keep it away by not saying who the culprit is, and really, I think that's the wrong thing to do, because then they can do it again to someone else. It needs to be stopped.

Just my two cents - hope you don't go, you are one of the good guys

Ugh Cheryl, I wish you could take it easy but it sounds like it's kind of impossible with your life! Hope you are able to make it to Monroe.

Well Ive got everything arranged so that Sunday will be my last day at the barn. I will still have to go up there to check on the property and horses a couple times a week. So I will still be managing the barn, just now I have 2 empoyees doing the actuall work. lol Taking a HUGE pay cut, but I will still have my job in 3 months when I am able to return to work.

This alone is SUCH a reliefe. Wether my husband realizes it or not. I do contribute quite a bit of income to pay for expenses. At least we aren't surprised at the loss of income. We have had time to save up so we can get by.

Yes my ife is busy. lol But who on here doesnt have a busy life? Everyone has something going on. Be it kids, job, farm, critters.

I think I'll probably be around more often now though. Im going to have more time on my hands, and I have to stay busy somehow.

Sorry about the book. lol But Im not hurting tonight. Its been a decent day with minimal discomfort.

I am just blown away by this. I mean REALLY she is hardly on here and then this. Now I do understand that it could have been in another thread. I truly hope it was NOT a WA peep. If it was a WA peep I would like to know who at least in a pm or e-mail so I can make sure to silently isolate myself from such a person.
I have never seen Heather do or say anything that would justify any such e-mail.
I would be interested to hear the persons reasoning behind such action. And if you don't have the courage to to step up and justify your action then to you I would say you are a coward. Yes I know I am taking a chance here but I am a man of my word and I pride myself on taking care of my friends at whatever cost.
