Well, sparker of lively conversation once again! Second spankin in a week. I'm telling you am going to get banned on of these days.

I don't get how it's OK to post what I did on Random Ramblings and not OK on the WA thread where all my friends are. For the record I would never have posted that on RR where I don't know anyone anyway.

I never meant to offend anyone. I only shared a day in my life that had some comfort and meaning TO ME and WHY. Considering things I've been dealing with lately I thought it would be something positive and even though I knew not all would share my beliefs I thought them knowing I had found some comfort would have trumped being offended. I know there are many people with many beliefs and I respect that. If they wanted to share what their god or goddess has done for them by all means do so. If I don't agree with their belief I move on as I totally realize how discussions of politics and religion can get heated and out of hand but if I agree I should be able to do so and I did not push anything on anyone.

So if I get banned I get banned. I spend too much time on this computer anyway. I am comforted by the support and knowing there are many fellow believers out there even though we are not allowed to discuss it much and also the support of those who do not share my beliefs but understand what I'm going through. You are my 'people'.

Supposedly I can share whatever I want in my Sig so be watching.

No matter what, I am happy that life is looking brighter for you! We all know that winters in teh northwest are dreary, so any bright spot we all should be thankfull for!

Our girls are out as well - but huddled next to firewood stacks, etc. to stay out of the wind. One of the pullets came running out to see me just as a gust came though and got blown smack into the chicken coop!

Poor girl! She got extra hugs and treats (I'm sure she preferred the latter

My girls are already out roaming around.... They make themselves heard when they want out. LOL. Its still rather windy up here but not as bad as last night. Chickens without feathers.... LOL now that would be a visual.

My girls are under the swing set. Its pretty well blocked from the wind with the rock wall and there is a sand box that the kids made into the dirt box and since its covered it stays dry. The girls love their daily dirt baths. Every once in awhile you will see one sprint across the yard. Who needs tv? Watching the chicks is so much more fun.

Yep I do. I have CL, yours and one other I believe. I also have a few people friended on FB as well. I will definately make sure my BYC family is in the know!

Everyone on here is like a big extended family, and I know Ive been pulled through some tough spots over the past year. We all have our differences, and yes we argue, but we still care! Thats really why I stick around here.
I may not "know" everyone on here personally, but I do concider you all friends and family! Heck, we are less disfunctional and more peacefull than my REAL family! lol

You all are great people and thats what makes this thread as awsome as it is!

How cool is this that people all over this country would get together showing their love by honoring a Vet, his Wife and Daughter.

I was sent this in an email but wish I had seen it on the local news instead as stories like these I think should go to all news stations instead of the garbage that is considered news the AP picks up.

That is beautiful - one of my neighbors sent it to me a couple of weeks ago and then I sent it tto CL and CR (or maybe it was the other way around with one of them sending it to me, and then me to a neighbor). It made me cry. I've now watched it 4 times and I still cry every time.

The same day I got that, I also got a message in my inbox from my neighbor. Her SIL is in the marines, and in January, one of his close buddies lost both legs, one arm, one eye and a bit of his brain in Afghanistan. He is now at Walter Reed and his mom is asking that people pray for him and send him cards and letters of support over the next few months. He has a 3yo daughter and was going through a divorce at the time, so I can imagine that it must be very extremely challenging just to maintain a will to live. I have his name and contact information. If you would like to send him some mail, please PM me and I will get it to you.
