nope. no quails at this time. have to get setup better before I start again.

You do still have both types, right ?
I forgot to ask you what happened to the wine cooler ?

I am looking for a wine cooler frig or apt. sized frig just to keep hatching eggs in...

Wine cooler has no working parts.. it is just a box. and it is on my back porch.

I do not have any quails at this time due to a virus that rampaged through the flocks and well they have no immunity so it was not pretty. Most likely from the crows that hang out here. So I have to create a better quail area before starting them again

Thanks for the ideas CL. I think Cloverleaf is to far. Who is Karen Houey?

CR, if getting hatching eggs from you is a possibility, let me know and I'll add the RIR's to my bantam list! Trying to get a list of options put together to show the kids.

I'll go see what RedRooster has. None of the kids seemed interested in the Serama's, I know she has those, as do I. They really need accepted varieties/breeds, not projects.

I can send you bantam Ameraucana eggs (blue and black) if they are interested in those at all. I'm really happy with the sky blue egg color of these (a bit darker blue than the parents even). I am collecting for RW right now, but then I could send some of those (and maybe sneak a few bantam Fav eggs in the box too)... ;)

Anybody want these cuties?

I don't know if you read my AM post, but these young boys challenged Little Rascal, DD's Bantam Cochin Roo from Heather for his spot as king of the coop. Poor, hysterical DD dropped the bloodied roo into my arms this morning. Nice way to wake up! They did some major damage to his comb, but nowhere else. He cleaned up well and spent the day as "house rooster." Now I have a bit of housecleaning to do! I banished these beauties to the bachelor pad. I got them from CGG as chicks last April. They are usually really sweet.

OH MY..................Look at these....

Don't think I ever have seen them before, a Crele type breed..................as Rain Wolf says "kewl"

Kewl indeed!

CL. Yes, wheels, but unfortunately they gave a better view of the solar panel machine rigged to the fence then a good shot of the fence.
It was a story about Sun Mountain Lodge in EW.
They were featuring the farms that supply the lodges food mostly.

I've seen this show repeat on Sunday.
Not sure on time though.
Hopefully someone sees it and lets the rest of us know.
Great fence idea.
Same principle as people who have their solar panels set up with a motor to follow the sun through the day.

I tried to look up the show but didn't have enough info. gonna try again.

I have bantam show Polish in several varieties and would consider bringing chicks to the Monroe show. Polish are very attractive to 4Hers but they are a high maintenance bird and require a dedicated caretaker to keep them healthy. They are, however, fabulous layers- a fact that always surprises me.
