Speaking of gas prices, the Shell station in Duvall was 3.57 per gallon this weekend. I just ran into town to pick up DD from the high school, and it's now 3.97!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS.... I know this is not chicken related but there was a school shooting in bremerton. At a elementary school. A 3rd grader shot someone???

I just saw that on the news. An 8 yr old girl was shot and sent to Harborview. How very sad is that?

SOOOO, excited! Just found out my son has been hired at Safeboats! They weld unsinkable aluminum boats and many for the Navy. We have so needed some good news in this family. Not going religion on anyone but THANK YOU GOD!

Also my awesome niece in Kentucky just texted and said she passed her RN nursing boards! You go girl!

My heart is just bursting with pride for these younguns! I can only type as I can't even speak right now.

Oh Yah, nice and clean! All the ducks having a blast. Now that the wind has stopped, even the chickens are out.

Can't imagine all your "rivers" - must be insane!

I will try to get out with the camera..it is now hailing like , well, like hail.....insane !
And so Sunday we are due to get snow, even in Seattle ??????????????????

I put my sprouting fuschias in the hot frames...a sudden snow now when they have begun to sprout would probably kill them...........RATS !!!!!!!!!!
Soon as it snows, egg laying slows.......................RATS !!!!!!!!!!!

See how the spring ran to the coop door & mud was everywhere ! I have to dig it out, and now there is a "moat" the chickens have to jump over when they come out the door.

High Tide was at 12:30, should be high here at 1 PM...we are going to go look at the river (it was up the edge of our road before high tide..............so gonna go see.
I imagine the Chehalis is getting really high as well..............when the tide comes in it pushes the river water back inland, not a good thing when we have so much run off !

Good grief, CL, that's... well, that's altogether too much like Pacific County in February, now that I think of it.

I'm trying to get some berms going in a couple of places where the cattle walk straight down hill through the gates, and undercut the fence posts. All I want to do is slow the water down enough that the sand and silt drop out instead of spreading over the grass at the bottom of the hill, but doing that and not leaning over, ever is a bit of a challenge.

I was sitting here in tears watching as it unfolded. As a parent that is your worst nightmare. I wanted to run and pick my kids up from school and never let them go. My daughter is 8 so I can only imagine what her family is going thru. But for me what makes it worst is she was shot by a 9 year old kid in her class. The childs parents have a lot of explaining to do.
