I know, what you don't see can't hurt you - right!

What really bugs me is the DOC wants you to have tests just because... For instance, my doc want me to have a colonoscopy, despite there's never been any colon cancer in my family. There's no symptoms, so why the test? Just because it's easy and it gives another doc some income!

Why not test me for TB (grandfather died from it) or heart problems (mom died from them). But no. . .

well, unless I have a symptom I'm not going to the doctor anymore. I just know I'll GET a disease if I go. Probably a very expensive, designer disease at that.

I bet that's what you have CL, one of them fancy shmansy designer diseases . . .

I reckon that's what pettecs got too, and maybe broody, and who else was sick Ogrress, and Zgoatlady? They are all these newfangled diseases and I for one don't want any of them.

Naw, nothing fancy here, just you average everyday Chrones !

Seriously, sometimes don't you hate to go to the doc cuz maybe if you don't, "IT" will just go away...or will not exist ?
But once you go, and get tested, "IT" becomes a reality despite alll the symptoms & suspitions ????????????

See, as long as I have not been tested yet, I cannot have "IT" so staying away from the doc means I am OK , right ????????????

Kaneke- Did you ever get any info on issue that we talked about last October?

Hope everybody has a great weekend!

nope, not yet, the person I have to see about it, won't be available until mid March; getting harder and harder to make connections with these people

will probably have chicks hatched before I have any news to share

I spent 5 years in complete agony waiting for "it" to go away... IT did not and almost killed me... whats 5 years of searing pain worth verses getting a test done. test would have saved me much agony... regret and lots of it , my designer disease got a 5 year head start on me...

Sometimes those are necessary.
That being said it is just a band aid like you said masking the pain instead of trying to get to the root cause of the pain.

When my Wife starts getting the run around like that it is when I get a bit of up close and personal time with the Doc and he gets the message.
Maybe it's time you had someone do that.

It's one thing to have non diagnosed pain due to bunch of procedures that first must be done get to figuring it out.
But when one is put off like hey it's OK we will just give you drugs instead of doing our job then it's up close in your face time.

My Wife is to nice so I have to do that now and then.

Yep I hear ya!! I guess the difference between my husband and I, I would be the" get in your face kinda guy!!" LOL!! Terry's mr nice guy! I have really never seen him mad!! But, he agrees with me too, this has been going on way to long and nothing really being done to find out the answers so, I sent a real long email to my GP, after I get his response I will decide who gets the "in your face" speech!!

Thanks Greg, yea it just about time to do that, I am going back to the GP, who I just sent a huge email to. In my case tho, my husband plays Mr Nice guy, he isn't the up close and personal type!! LOL! I am that person!! And, believe me, I'm getting real close!! So, if I don't get the answers I'm looking for, then I will be off and running!! I guess I'm not seeing why this so difficult? I can not be the only female that has ever had hip nerve pain?? I'm sure that the pain injection will work, no doubt, but, I'm the kind of person, I want to know WHY?? Not give her drugs to shut her up! And at this point that's how I feel. I am a minimalist when it comes to drugs, the lowest dose possible to work. I have quit taking lots of the meds they have prescribed cause I didn't like the side effects, and it wasn't doing the job I needed it to do. Well, we will see what happens in the weeks to come!

It is very sad, I get the feeling that all the boy wanted was a better life. Now the system will make sure that he never gets a chance. It sounds like the prosecutor would like to charge the nine year as an adult. I read an interview of his teacher, she is as concerned about the boy, as she is about the little girl. Both children are in a bad situations.

Your right!! And so this little guy has just been placed in a worse situation and treated like a criminal, (with an intent) when it was an accident!!! REALLY?? There are hardend criminals who rarely see the inside of a cell!!! I would think in a case like this they would have a....I don't know what you would call it, maybe foster situation, people who would be kind and helpful and a counselor to help this boy?? He needs counseling to help him understand, if he truly didn't mean to hurt anyone with the gun, why is he being treated like a criminal??? And can you imagine the depth of horror he must feel because it accidentally went off and hurt someone??? It makes me want to cry!!
