I spent 5 years in complete agony waiting for "it" to go away... IT did not and almost killed me... whats 5 years of searing pain worth verses getting a test done. test would have saved me much agony... regret and lots of it , my designer disease got a 5 year head start on me...

:hugs  You have been such a help to me !!!!!!!!! Thanks !!!!!!!!!!  :hugs

I was not diagnosed until 2 or 3 years ago when I was carried into the ER at 3 am lol. a few years ago on my 40th birthday my gut started to hurt...it never stopped. that was my Bday present , I thought. if this is what you get when you turn 40 then I am terrified of what I will get when I turn 50 ...

Well until recently I haven't taken him with me, he did go to Seattle with me and I think he will come to my follow ups. He thought this Doc was embarrassed that he was there! I don't think so, yea, I had to get in the gown, big deal!! I have dealt with military docs ect, for a long time, nothing phases me, and I am usually not embarrassed easily! I still feel this pain is fixable, therefore it needs to be diagnosed, and I am not opposed to alternative medicine. So, one step at a time, I really thought going up there was a step in the right direction, guess not!!

JB it's probably a good thing your DH goes with you!! I'm taking mine so I don't have to be the only one to hear what these guys say! Then if I have to get a second opinion I have someone to back up the story.

it's so exciting!!!!

Your right!! And so this little guy has just been placed in a worse situation and treated like a criminal, (with an intent) when it was an accident!!! REALLY?? There are hardend criminals who rarely see the inside of a cell!!! I would think in a case like this they would have a....I don't know what you would call it, maybe foster situation, people who would be kind and helpful and a counselor to help this boy?? He needs counseling to help him understand, if he truly didn't mean to hurt anyone with the gun, why is he being treated like a criminal??? And can you imagine the depth of horror he must feel because it accidentally went off and hurt someone??? It makes me want to cry!!

I think that this kid is a very easy target to make an example of. His parents don't have it together enough to protect me. The only thing that may save him, is if he get a very good lawyer. He does need a safe place to live, and counseling. I just don't think he should be made an example of just because it is easy to do. I would be more than willing to blame the boy's parents. Clearly they were failing the kid. I must say at this point I would not return him to a public school setting again. The best thing for the would be a very experience foster home that would home-school him.

Sometimes those are necessary.
That being said it is just a band aid like you said masking the pain instead of trying to get to the root cause of the pain.

When my Wife starts getting the run around like that it is when I get a bit of up close and personal time with the Doc and he gets the message.
Maybe it's time you had someone do that.

It's one thing to have non diagnosed pain due to bunch of procedures that first must be done get to figuring it out.
But when one is put off like hey it's OK we will just give you drugs instead of doing our job then it's up close in your face time.

My Wife is to nice so I have to do that now and then.

Yep I hear ya!! I guess the difference between my husband and I, I would be the" get in your face kinda guy!!" LOL!! Terry's Mr nice guy! I have really never seen him mad!! But, he agrees with me too, this has been going on way to long and nothing really being done to find out the answers so, I sent a real long email to my GP, after I get his response I will decide who gets the "in your face" speech!!

Ok sorry about what seems like a double post!! I had originally responded with this post, but every time I hit submit, it said sorry the server is busy try again! So, I didn't see this post, I shut down my computer, shut down the dsl, and restarted everything, When I came back to BYC I just started on that page and re posted what I had started to say, sorry ....

But I guess that's it, WHY is he being made an example if it was an "accident" there has to be an intent to make it criminal! And the fact that he obviously wasn't supervised closely enough should fall back on who ever his guardian is!! at 9 years old, I wouldn't say he couldn't go back to public school again, maybe not for a little while, but, I think if he were given the help he truly needs, and the nurturing ect, there is no reason he couldn't be a normal kid??? I just don't think we should give up on him!!

Yes ALWAYS take someone with 2 sets of ears hear more details than one. I go to all with DW. Have had a couple that tried to say I couldn't go in. Nope wrong answer. I just walk right in with her. Of course it is a little different as DW has the communication problem.

Well, I think I'm done pondering the worlds woes, and trying to understand human kind tonight!! Everyone have a good nite and a great weekend!! We are supposed to get wicked winds again, so, I'm sure I will be busy trying to clear the neighbors clutter from my yard tomorrow!!
catcha guys later!!
