I should have pics tomorrow and will post then. There are 6 basic designs but since they are all hand made they are each different. See I make some short, some med and some tall. Some are stand up some are leaning forward. And then Steve paints and they are all just a little different but we are doing Easter type colors. They are $5.00 each or 2 for $10.00

Monroe Farm & Feed (in Monroe) will be getting straight run assorted Phoenix chicks in on March 30th. You might want to call to see what the assortment contains.

Whoops! This was meant to be a reply to LCLOUGH1998.

DD has a science fair project to do this spring. She wants it to involve chickens. We have an incubator and she was thinking she wanted to hatch chicks, but I'm not so keen on that; I really do not need another chicken!

She has a T-shirt that has on it: "I love chickens, they know EVERYTHING!" I got to thinking; maybe she can train some of our bantam roosters to run through obstacle courses; it would give her a project and the little roos something to do to earn their keep.

Can it be done? Has anyone tried it?

There are clips on YouTube of chickens doing obstacles and other tricks, and a professional dog trainer I know was required to teach a chicken to run an agility course as an exercise through a workshop or something, so it definitely can be done. Olivia can record different responses to positive and negative reinforcement, change up rewards, and so on. Lots of great data she can use for the science fair.

This is very good for me right now since he is paying me to make them and I am working in his shop (that is warmer than my work area consisting of a tin roof). He supplies all the materials and equipment. He also buys lunch (fast food) and brings it to the shop.
We made 65 of these in the last 2 days.
Does it get much better get paid to do something I enjoy so much?

CR, that's great!

oh, that's not me, that's my daughter! As the girls got older, he used to walk them to the bus stop every morning, and wait until they were on the bus for school before coming home (I know, I watched from behind some trees!)

Ah, genetics...she looks like you! Still adorable though. And that was a wonderful dog, taking such good care of his girls.
