Hope you can solve the mystery.
Quote: She is one of the "top" chickens, all the others would try and cozy up to her, but then she started acting this way about 2 days ago.
I don't know if it's a coincidence, but the female Harlequins were acting strange that day too - wouldn't shut up; alarm call, and kept staring at that section of the fence, it lasted several hours. Since then, Juno has been pacing. Maybe she wants to go "get it", whatever it is. She's a pretty bold chicken.
For those of you who do not follow facebook, or who are not on my page.
I let my Dusty dog go on Febuary 29th. That had to be the hardest day I have had yet. Much harder than anything else I have endured, and just as painfull as losing a human family member. I am feeling better about my decision now that she is no longer in pain. But letting go and saying goodby was excrutiating. I spent all day on the 29th loving on her and crying. But I know she had a pain free and piecefull end.
I rescued Dusty as a 6 week old pup, and had her with me for 12 years. She was quite litterally my first child, and I will always love and miss her.
Friend just called to say there is a "poultry auction/exhibition" 2:00 on Sunday at mason county fair grounds (this sunday). Says it is from "flocks from all over the U.S." Saw advertisement at Feed Store. Contact person's name is "Larry".
Any idea what this is? Did someone buy some chicks from a hatchery and resaling them? Just curious... Want to know if worth driving too.
Here's the info about the Poultry Auction at the Fairgrounds this Sunday:
