to say the least I made it home with Jet. He is a very smart, and active dog. He is going to need a lot of reminders of the rules. But he hasn't shown any sign of aggression towards DH or myself. He is so curious and inquisitive about his new surroundings. It is going to take sometime for him to be comfortable again. I am beyond happy about how everything worked out during the past two days. I met a lot of great people today, and I was helped by so many people through out the day. I was doing very well until, this afternoon, I must have hit my limit, because I got more disorganized and forgetful. I lost my boarding pass twice, and I left my cell phone in the rental car. I had to go all the way back to the rental center to get the phone. I am pretty sure that I have been a dingbat for most of the day. I am grateful that I was able to get on an earlier flight, and I was able to get home about 10pm. I now hope that tomorrow will be better again.

So here is Jet. He needs a bath really bad. He seems to love to have his picture taken.

He is awesome !
And now my dear, you get to go from a white dog hair furniture setting, to a black dog hair setting.
You may find it necessary to re-apolster everything in your home to a dark color !

OK.........2 good recipes
The first is family biscotti passed down generations from Grandmother America Maria carnelii Cenini::

BISCOTTI

Combine:
6 well beaten eggs
2 C sugar
1 C butter melted
2 t vanilla extract
1 T Anise extract OR 2 T anise seed
1/4 C Anisette Liquor OR
1/4 C Boubon
Mix well & then in another bowl mix:

5 1/2 C flour
1 T baking powder
1 T salt
then mix the 2 (you need big bowls !)
mix & knead as bread, form into "logs" and lay 2 logs each on parchment long ways on cookie sheet, pat to biscotti shape about 4 " wide, humped on top.
BAKE at 350 20 min or until barely firm.
Remove from pan, cool slightly, slice diagonally with serrated knife & re bake first on 1 side, then flip to the other side so cookie is baked on all sides & toaty browned.
COOL.
They are to be dipped in cafe`

I have also added zest of 1 large orange & it comes out yummy also.

2 eggs beaten
1/4 C Orange Juice
zest 1 orange
1 tsp vanilla
1 C soured milk (buttermilk will work)
3 1/2 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 C chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans are great !)
Cream wet ingedients, sift dry, then beat all together & drop on greased or parchment sheets.
