Hmm, I know someone who has two blue merle dogs and a Splash Silkie in the house and bought a couch that is mixed tweedlike fabric of blue, black and white so hair isn't as obvious...come to think of it, this same someone dresses in blue and black a lot, and has a black car with a blue grey interior...

I wish! I am temporarily reined in by a DH. But maybe take a raincheck on that. Darn, my lab boy would really love something like that. Our Corgi rules the roost and she is only happy if she can get him to run so she can chase him which he will oblige but reluctantly. He needs one of his own kind.

save your show chickens feathers, low fertility rate, to much fluff, older rooster with limited mobility. lots of reasons

Because some commercial breeds can not reproduce, including turkeys......that is WHY you should have Heritage breeds.
