Hey all,

Have good news! I haven't been following along as usual since I needed to take a really long break but just signing in to let you know I am a recipient of the USDA NRCS High Tunnel cost share program. Which means the government will pay for 90% of a High Tunnel (greenhouse) to a maximum of 2178 square feet. So I guess this means I better hold off the foreclosure dogs! Anyway, I have faith that this is part of a much bigger plan then ever imagined!

I borrowed a moldboard bottom plow for our tractor to turn over some new growing ground the other day. Was thinking if I got in the High Tunnel Program I would also need to plow the ground where the Tunnel would go but it is also much needed horse pasture and I didn't want to plow unless I knew I was in the program. Well, the plow needed returning and thought this would be my only chance to plow for the High Tunnel so I went on Faith and plowed up part of my horse pasture. When I got in that night I checked my email and found out I got the High Tunnel! Wow, Faith is awesome. Anyway, taking off again. Getting lots done by not sitting on the computer all day so will check in down the road again, just wanted you all to hear something good from me.

that is great news!

For those who cannot tolerate milk protein, why the heck is NO ONE making goat milk ice cream ?????????????????
Dang it would be soooooooooooooo good !!!!

I am not lactose intolerant, lactose free cow's milk still bothered me, so we finally figured out it was the large cells of cow's milk fat & protein (Casein) that upset me. After all, proteins are the #1 allergen.
So.............I can drink goat milk all day & am fine !!!
I cannot eat soy.
But IF there was only goat ice cream !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a place in Calf that does make it. I cant remember that name, and Ive made it for us too..

So one of my friends kept telling me to watch a sad show and just have a good cry. I watched My Sister's Keeper. So I cried so hard and almost couldn't stop. Good show but so sad..
It is very hard to have your child go to the hospital for mental issues, panic attacks are so hard...

I feel for ya! I was on both sides of it, I am a veteran and i was a military spouse!! My ex husband was gone to sea for 6 or more months at a time! You have to do what ya have to do, just tap into the support systems that most bases have if you need too! And please tell your husband thanks for serving!! From julie and her husband terry! We were both e-7s!! We appreciate what he does!!

Aww thanks I will for sure let him know. He is in training right now to become an E-5. We are all very proud of him and I think thats what keeps him going. I know it cant be easy on him leaving us behind. We dont live on base he is reserves so I dont have that but I have found a lot of military spouses online that I chat with so that is very helpful to just have someone who understands because as you know no one truly understands unless they have been thru it.

I would admit to the wine, except that I knock over the entire glass full, and I didn't have anymore in the house. I did finally realize that I had the ingredients to make orange B-52s.I will say that orange B-52s are very yummy.
