Gd morning again. When I awoke I found that the power had gone off after I went to bed. Rushed out to the garage and the peeps to see how they were. (power is back on) They are fine and the little gluttons ate a lot since yesterday afternoon. Another good reason not to start too early?
They were active and "perky" so I fed em and headed back to the house after spending some time with them. Alls well that ends well.

Ok so my turkey's are starting to get some action going, they had pipped last night and hadn't gone too far, I got on the turkey thread, and some one had a link to Porters Turkey hatching tips. They need to be at 80% humidity and you need to drop the temp to 98.5!!! So, anyway I tried to get the humidity up but, I have stupid hygometers. and after calibrating them , they were like 10 or more off!!! I have a temp wire in there, but not humidity!! I also figured out how to add more what and not have to open the incubator!! I have the brinsea eco 20. I stick a straw down the ventilation hole and syringe warm water down to it. I have an extra sponge in there too??? Guess we will see!!!

Well I finally found leg bands at Blyhels in Zillah, I had looked everywhere!! So, I jotted down two numbers and sent my entry in. They don't have enough spaces on the entry form for leg band stuff?? so I'm only bringing two ducks, so I just put the numbers down under the description??
Now I have to figure out how to clean these guys up and try to keep them clean by Saturday!! They aren't the most friendly ducks, they are a bit fearful, I can tell they haven't been handled much, their not mean, just takes a bit to catch them!! So, yea....I have to try and get some information on fitting and showing!

Wow! that's good they are doing well!! Glad your power is back on!!! I'm just lucky it didn't happen here too!! I have to bators going!!!

Yesterday was scary, cause it REALLY got ugly!! and apparently they had a huge 12 car pile up on 97 just out of Toppenish going up the hill!!! I could have sworn the winds were gusting to at least 70!!!

Hmm.. if he is in active reserve you should have access to base stuff?? Especially if he is deployed?? But, that is good that you found a support system! It is very hard, and I can only speak from a point of it being peace time, I can't imagine how much MORE stressful it is now!!

I do.... well if I want to but I live in Arlington and the Closest Base is JBLM... Which is an hour + south of here. And I dont know anyone there.Active duty wives tend to turn up their nose at Reserves because they are still in the mindset that reserve do nothing.... which is not true... The only difference now is they CANT MAKE you move to a different duty station. But When he was deployed he was attatched to a unit out of Hayden Idaho.... Yeah way to far for me to drive for monthly family meeting and group play dates. Honestly I didnt hear anything from the unit until I got a phone call asking me if I was coming on thursday I said coming to what shes like ummm the welcome home ceramony I was like what they are coming home???. Shes like ya I need to know if your going or not. And that was 3 days before they came back from a 16 month deployment. Needless to say she got fired from FRG.

Since I took 2 days off I have 4 X the work to do today.

Also hunting around at who here has Welsummer fertile eggs or chicks ?

I only need a couple for a breeding project.

Making Cream of Shroom soup...shrooms on sale at the store today so I chopped a bunch & garlic & it is simmering in chix stock...smells YUMMY in here.

I get to go scoop poop trays & try to catch up on my work....all the birds are INSIDE coops today, and it is heavy heavy rain here with snow mixed...........

I am so sick of winter!

Oh, and my ice cream maker is in CA in storage

I DID get Tuna at Trader Joes !!!!!!!!!!!!! Last weekend...right after my surg (I was very tipsey but hung onto the basket) since we were in Olympia............Thanks Robin !!!

Last time I bathed the Thursday & Friday before...due to yet more MUD !!!
