GOOD MORNING WASHINGTON!!!!


I am on my way to bed. I have all the stock put away, and DDiL is supposed come over later today and pick off the meat from the last of the bones. I have already done my share. I managed to get the range cleaned up.

I had a great time with FlyRobin yesterday, she kept me on task. I am still uncertain of how much stock we made today. I do know that it is a lot. I am deeply appreciative of all the help.

I am bring a microwave oven to the chicken show. This way we might have a chance at a hot meal.

I think that I may be to tired to think right now. Talk to you all later.

So I just spent my last two days helping my father build a coop for the chicks that are due to arrive on next week here's our progress so far

Here is day two..... we would have more done but he is retired and moving at retirement speed lol

So Every morning I'm laying in my bed and I hear this owl hoo hoo ing away and where I live there are a ton of hawks and bald eagles I think I'm gonna have my hands full protecting my chicks once old enough to be outside. There run is covered but I want to let them roam the yard
During the day I guess we will see with a watchful eye

Good Morning all !

Well the enchiladas were awesome (Enchiladas Suiza...white cheesy sauce instead of red) made with cream of chicken soup, avacado, green chilis canned/diced, a bit of red bell & onion and 3 boneless/skinless diced.
Anyways it hit the spot RFF made in my brain for enches !

Still want home made ice cream though !


Good to hear all the eggs arrived safely ! She still has not let me know !

I am supposed to be looking at the Les Swab web site for summer tires for the van...the old set is 3 years old & many trips to CA & back so............

As you can tell I am NOT looking at the Les Swab web site !!!

I got the 3 bags of prawns yesterday, so will be cooking & peeling them Friday (they are frozen now..........and then a green salad.
So we are set there, now today we load crates in the van, and all that...and maybe wash a few birds.

I lost my 2 1/2 month sex-link chick some time during the night. Yesturday when I got home from work I found her hiding under one of the nest boxes and acting very lathargic so I brought her in side and got some water and food down her. then put her back. I put the heater on in the coop. But this morning I found her under the nest box dead.

She was able to get out of the pen and roam around.

I had the 3 days of anesthesia kind of blanked out a bit of memory...LOL

Did you get a incubator or brooder yet ?
Or still have the broody hen ?
I thought this hen decided to stop being broody half way through the set ?
