Suddenly I have "Seventy Six Trombones" running through my head.

I am interested in buying mature roosters and hens of: Brahma, Icelandic, Marans, Sussex. All Large Fowl versions. And other useful rare breeds. But if anyone has true Arucanas I could be interested (blue egg layers). Other rare breeds I could be interested in. Sorry no lawn ornaments (bantams).
Russian Orloff is possible.
No orphingtons. The few we have are not nice.
I could try again with barnvelders.
I "might" be able to buy hatching eggs. I have the incubator to clean out tomorrow night and turn on... first time since August. I know it will work fine.... there is just a lot of fluff in it.....
And you can try convincing my parents to let me get chicks..... Its Dad really because he takes care of them. Mom is not as thrilled and after a year wants me to quit chickens, she took me to this show last year....

Would Anyone Like 2 Cayuga Drakes $10 each for me to bring? I wanted to show them but since I was told no for the past few weeks about the show I gave up on entering. Instead I want to replace my missing birds....

I really want Birchen or Blue Birchen Marans... I miss mine and my rooster terribly... and Brahma roosters.
I contacted sheryl butler and asked if she had any mature birds she was bringing and she was. tomorrow night if i know for sure the roads are good I plan to reserve the few birds she has to buy. I really loved the chicks i bought last year from her, stupid coyote. I can't wait 9 months to replace my laying flock from eggs. Yes I am desperate.... I haven't seen any coyotes... but Charlie brought a deer leg into the house the other day and it was fresh....

I have brass bands, have to be put on adult birds with a crimping tool.
You are welcome to use but I get there Sat morning.

Will they let me coop on Friday night withoutt the bands? sorry, these are stupid questions I know. I am going to check the local feed store in the morning.  What time can I coop on Friday night?  I need to go and check the web site. Gotta go and dry orps now. sorry, by.

Monroe farm and feed right next to the fairgrounds has leg bands. if Quincy needs a larger one I have one you can put on him. I will PM my phone if you want I can meet you in Monroe and help get them banded

I have a quad of Light & Coronation Sussex for sale. All mature, proven breeders. Lay great. You can see their photos on my website or on Feathersite. :)

Just got the baby down for the night (I hope!) Got the incubators pulled out and checked over. Birds are dusted and wormed. Nails trimmed, bands checked. I got some of my cages out, scrubbed, fresh shavings and basically, all lined up and ready to fill. The tricky ones will be the HUGE African gander and probably fitting the Sussex into boxes. I am going to leave my GLC's home (I was going to sell them at the show) but I seriously doubt I will have two spare cages or boxes to bring them in and I think it's a "sign" that I need to keep them around for a little longer. :)

I'm bringing a few extra plastic leg bandettes in size 9 and size 7 if anyone wants or needs to borrow a band. They're bantam size. Green in color.

I got CL's new roo captured and dusted. He's so funny. He comes right up to me for Cheerios! :) He's got a little owie on his upper tail from one of the other roosters who grabbed it and yanked him. But it doesn't look too bad.

I'm planning on getting ready around 9am and my goal is to be out of here no later than 11am, tomorrow. That will give us (hopefully) enough time to make it over the pass before dark and allow me time to coop in tomorrow night, rather than Saturday morning. I like doing it the night before so the birds have time to settle, eat, poop, stretch, drink, etc. I've found that with some of mine, they get all dramatic and don't have time to calm down before people get there.

I'm going to be bringing a quad of Light & Coronation Sussex, a pair of Mille Fleur Cochin bantams and a Giant African Dewlap Gander for sale.

I'm also bringing Giant African Dewlap Goose hatching eggs, Sebbie hatching eggs, Orloff hatching eggs and whatever else I find in the coop in the morning that's laid.

I'm showing 5 Orloff Bantams and 1 GLW Bantam.

I'm looking for more GLW bantams, some SLW bantams, Sumatras (different line than mine)

I'm really excited!

I guess since I'm talking to myself, I should go and shower so I can eat dinner and maybe be in bed by 10:30? I have a long day tomorrow!! I'm bringing my friend, Talia with me--she came with me in 2010. She's not a chicken person but is good company and we're both excited for Thai food tomorrow night!

Me three, now I have the mind worm for" 76 trombones" - well at least it pushed out "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley for now. DON'T anybody mention "It's a Small World Afterall." please Ooops
