Good thing I volunteered before I read this.![]()
I will help out here, given that Z, and I live in the same town. This of course will assume that I can get everything in my station wagon. It's a good thing that I can stuff an amazing amount of stuff in a relatively small space.
Just got the baby down for the night (I hope!) Got the incubators pulled out and checked over. Birds are dusted and wormed. Nails trimmed, bands checked. I got some of my cages out, scrubbed, fresh shavings and basically, all lined up and ready to fill. The tricky ones will be the HUGE African gander and probably fitting the Sussex into boxes. I am going to leave my GLC's home (I was going to sell them at the show) but I seriously doubt I will have two spare cages or boxes to bring them in and I think it's a "sign" that I need to keep them around for a little longer.
I'm bringing a few extra plastic leg bandettes in size 9 and size 7 if anyone wants or needs to borrow a band. They're bantam size. Green in color.
I got CL's new roo captured and dusted. He's so funny. He comes right up to me for Cheerios! He's got a little owie on his upper tail from one of the other roosters who grabbed it and yanked him. But it doesn't look too bad.
I'm planning on getting ready around 9am and my goal is to be out of here no later than 11am, tomorrow. That will give us (hopefully) enough time to make it over the pass before dark and allow me time to coop in tomorrow night, rather than Saturday morning. I like doing it the night before so the birds have time to settle, eat, poop, stretch, drink, etc. I've found that with some of mine, they get all dramatic and don't have time to calm down before people get there.
I'm going to be bringing a quad of Light & Coronation Sussex, a pair of Mille Fleur Cochin bantams and a Giant African Dewlap Gander for sale.
I'm also bringing Giant African Dewlap Goose hatching eggs, Sebbie hatching eggs, Orloff hatching eggs and whatever else I find in the coop in the morning that's laid.
I'm showing 5 Orloff Bantams and 1 GLW Bantam.
I'm looking for more GLW bantams, some SLW bantams, Sumatras (different line than mine)
I'm really excited!

I am going to pack the long bungie cords, that way if I have too I can strap things on the roof of the wagon. I may end up looking like a big hick on the trip home.So I am planning to make things work one way or another.![]()
