I am so sorry that you aren't feeling good. Do you have the cold that is going around? Zinc made a big difference to my DH when he started taking it last Monday.

Im not sure what it is... My daughter brought it home from school 3 weeks ago. Started with a deep cough and then she had a fever for 2 days and feels better other then her deep cough... It moved to my other two kids as well. Thankfully my littlest one only had it for a day or two. As for my middle one he said his tummy was hurting tonight and was feeling sick and hes had a deep cough for going on 2 weeks. Mine MIGHT be allergies. I feel like I swallowed razor blades and I am exausted. Been drinking lots of lemon tea with honey and thankfully my daughter is old enough to keep an eye on her brothers. I went and got them dinner and passed out on the sofa watchin animal planet. She woke me up and said "mom its 9, I picked up the kitchen and the Zachariah is in bed and I got Trevor's pjs on him and hes watching sprout. I am going to bed. " I think its all this nasty weather. I was hailing, pouring really hard, 45 mph winds and then it was sunny. Craziness.

We are going to need garlic bread.

and the Baklava is getting very close to being popped into the oven. I think that I will still make the Denver Chocolate Pudding too.

JB, I can pick some up if you like. I was thinking of bringing something additional besides QUINCY's pie.

Was considering making a strata, or seeing what ready-to-go items I can pick up tomorrow.

I'm going to try and go to the show on Saturday. I will have my MIL and SIL with me. I think the kids will stay home as DH, DS, and DD all have the flu. I have been taking classes and working such long hours that I have not been home long enough to be exposed to them. I pick up the in-laws from the airport 9pm on Friday, I'm scheduled to work 9 am - 7:30 pm, so they will have to stay in a very messy house, as DH, DS, and DD have all been home making a mess to all I have been working so hard to clean at night when I get home. The office has not been all that busy but we are down to only a couple tax pros due to two being moved to busier offices, 2 more out with the flu and another's husband is in the last stages of cancer so of course she wants to be with him and we want to help her all we can. That leaves one very experienced tax preparer with an absolutely insane schedule, and 2 of us beginners getting a whole lot of hours doing more complicated returns than we should (they are all reviewed by the super-busy gal or the office manager). The other new preparer and I trade off taking classes and doing taxes, but since the classes are so far away, it makes for a lot of 14 hour work-days and then coming home to a mess.

My friend wo had the brain tumor removed last week is not doing very well. She is still in ICU and suffering a lot of seizures. The swelling in her brain is so severe that it causes the seizures some have left her completely un-reponsive for hours and even 2 days at a time. They upped her seizure meds and swelling meds, and now she is sometimes well enough to make a little post of FB and try and crack a few jokes, but she is still seizuring frequently, and it looks like the lines she posts take a great deal of effort because she has letters oddly repeated in words "sstttiillllllllll hhavvving seeizzuuuures.... innn hosptttallllllll f forseeabblee fuuttturrrrrre" her head hurts too much to use her cell phone.

Her 49th birthday is next week. I want to visit her but I am afraid I will expose her to the flu. Her lupus is making her recovery very slow as her body breaks down the collagen it needs to produce for her to heal. I want to bring her some cozy jammies, a comfy pillow and lots of bird-watching and garden magazines. CL- she is a painter too and used to live near you in a little old cabin along a bay - great bird-watching. This is a photo she painted of the scene from her cabin: I think you two need to meet. She also builds and gardens and can do pretty much anything she puts her mind to. She needs to set her mind to healing.
