Yet another "hello" from a new member. We just got 17 new chicks for 4-H this year, and said "goodbye" to a dear old Buff Orp. I left the "night pen" door open, and the raccoons climbed into the day pen using the overhanging trees. I feel so bad, it's all my fault. Poor Petunia, I let her down and now her BFF is all alone. I used to be able to leave the entire coop open for days, for 2 years straight nearly without any trouble, but that changed recently.

So, happy days and sad days. I will never, ever be complacent about that night pen door again.

Hey, hello neighbor and let me add my welcome to this forum. A solid group of people who help each other when ever they can. Hoping to meet some of them in person this year.

I hope your MRI goes well, I know it is terrifying for you, I on the other hand would rather NOT FLY !!!!!!!

Thanks Robin - but they are going to let me go in the OPEN unit, so it won't be bad at all, no more feeling like I'm in a coffin!

And everyone, about flying, the first 60 seconds are the most dangerous part, that's when you should be praying!

Just read that LIMA BEANS can shrink breast cancer tumors by starving it. (cutting its blood supply)
Going to PCC for some organic ones.

Then some garlic, some onions, some lemon grass and some mushrooms and we'll be set for a health-ful dinner....add some baked okra and we'll have all the bases covered.
Cancer fighting : lima beans, lemon grass, and inoki
Anti inflamitory: mushrooms, garlic and ginger.
Insulin regulator: Okra
Keep toxins at bay : Okra

Pair the above with Salmon and top that with cilantro and borage pesto...pine nuts...
Salmon: Yummy Omega 3, and just yummy

Cilantro : rids mercury

This is a great place to be!

So I've been chomping at the bit. Can't wait any longer. The Brinsea is warming up. I'm going to set that lone silver Ameraucana egg tonight. (Lone, silver? If it's a cockerel I think we should name it Ranger). Then tomorrow morning I'm picking up more eggs from zgoatlady just to keep the solitary egg company. I was really hoping I'd get some more Ameraucana eggs this past week from my gf's new silver, but she's been stubborn and not laid at all. I was looking forward to some Ameraucana chicks. I blame FlyRobinFly for showing us her cute blue babies.

Actually, I just want more babies in the house. But these aren't for me. I'm not keeping these. I'm sending them to my girlfriend's house. Seriously. I'm not keeping any of them. I mean it.
