Well I think I may try to call coastal and see if I can exchange my farm innovator for an LG ! But, at the same time I am worried with only about a week left for this hatch!! But, this bator is NOT staying put when it comes to stabilizing temps, and this is not my first rodeo!! I have a Brinsea that has 5 duck eggs in it and I really haven't had much problem with that one at all! I'm going to check their website and see if it has any return info on it!! I hope I can or I'm gonna be ******!!!! ( fill in the blank)!!!

I agree I would not mess with his scur unless it becomes a problem.
As for bucks wanting to "play". Since I needed to keep the neck muscles built up for show. I put a wood spool in the pen. I taught my bucks that when they were on the spool we could "play". If they came at me while on the ground I would take their feet out from under them and pin them to the ground until they stopped struggling. This was very effective for mine. The reason I did this was that some times I would need somebody to care for the goats while we were gone. I also educated them about the "HOT SHOT" and told the helpers to carry it anytime they needed to go in the pen. One little push of the button and they boyz would back off because they knew what went along with that buzzing sound.
I was not mean to these guys but I also was not about to take a chance of somebody getting hurt so I taught my bucks some basic manners.

Oh dont get me wrong Fusion has manners, Ive taken him to shows so he has too. If he gets acting funny Im lucky I just grap his big bead and take a tug on it. He only goes after my husband. My son and I take care of his feet and everything its a sweet heart. Ive had peopld who come over to get the girls a date with him tell me how nice it is to see a buck like him. I take him out he does his job than he just hangs out until I put him back.

DANG IT JIM ! ! ! just a few months ago I sold a very good iron for too cheap. Let me look I may still have the smaller one. You could have it you would just have to buy the tip for big goats. Also I would really like share info with you about burning and PLEASE don't use one of those STUPID BOXES to put the kid in.

Really Ive always put the kids in a box, fast and easy get in get them out.

If you have the extra cash go get the LG than heat it up and take the other one back. Id let them know when you get the LG that you know of two other people who have taken them back also. Give them a heads up like your doing them a favor which you really are. Good luck

Update;

My friend with the brain tumor has been back in the hosptal since Saturday. Her friends called 911 and had an ambulance take her after she saw her leg. ER doc said she has a huge blood clot. I am glad she is in the hospital,, only wish it was much sooner. Friends like new doc better than old doc. Seems more concerned. I need another update., and very much want to go see her. I am also very worried that I may have given her the flu. I don't know if she has the flu, but I do.

I have been down with the flu since late Saturday - worst one I have had, but for the most part it seems to be clearing now; so awful but quick. It started with muscle aches on Friday and Saturday. Flu did not cross my mind, but stress did. Then had the chills real bad when I went to sleep, could not get warm no matter how many blankets Don piled on me Saturday night. Woke a few hours later. sweating profusely. Still sweating like crazy, but not like Sunday through about 2 pm on Monday. Every time I got up for a bathroom trip, I leave sweat drips from my face, and chest and back... bedding is heavy with sweat and has to be changed frequently. Terrible migraine, but meds help that a bit - make it tolerable. As of last night, I was able to start eating again, and today I am walking around, mostly because I am worried about my leg - never heard of this flu symptom before:

Left leg is hot and red. This is the same leg, in the same area where I had a staph infection a few years ago, only this is nowhere near as painful as that was. The pain in my leg is from pressure when I stand; not burning and itching like with the staph, and the pain subsides somewhat when my leg is elevated Anybody have any clue what it could be from?
