Work, work work. I was forced to sit on the warm lawn, minding the chicks in their little cardboard run, making sure they didn't hop out, nor the cats hop in. All because I don't have a chicken tractor. I'd need one made with hardware cloth to keep Button in. So, I just *had* to sit there for 3 hours, baking in the sunshine, doing pretty much nothing whatsoever.

Oh, the agony..........

Hey has we heared from my little white egg farmin buddy. Wonder how his wing is.

I got an email from him and he is sore but doing ok. He is bored and depressed since he can't do much. And to add to that his dog Kayla isn't doing very well. I am going to go visit this next week.

I saw the little white egg farmer today. He was busy. He cleaned out Three coops today with one arm

Just came home from church and checked on the broody and the eggs. 3 are making noise and then I noticed eggs shell on the bottom of the nest. But no chick. Started to look around and noticed some blood on the other nest box. Someone ate the chick.....

If I knew who was doing it they would be gone. I have all the other chickens locked in their run. And I have a cat crate ready to put the broody and her eggs/chicks in tonight when I lock them up. I've had two broodys hatch a chick with not a problem and know this. Guess I will have to keep a broody separate next time.

OH Im so sorry. Our first hatch was on Easter Morning, we all went out to ck the eggs before going to church we had one chick. It was great my two boys and Mom and husband were so happy what a way to start our first easter in our new house. When we came home the chick was dead we dont know why but we dont leave the chicks with the moms now. But I do have to say the two years ago 2 hens get one past us, it was the time my son was getting married and we looked out and they both had chicks.

is anyone in the Seattle area interested in the IBC's i posted earlier?
I might have a line on some but need to figure out how many to get so let me know! they had veggie oil in them so clean for water storage... great for rain barrel type use.

How much are they going to be, I might like a couple not sure. Let me know
