Not sure about the rest of the state, but over here we are in the 80's and I am roasting out there. I have so much to do, trying to get a pen chick-escape proof which requires putting up 1" wire all around the bottom, plus scraping out all the broody muscovy poop. I got started but had to take a break because I forgot to put on sunscreen. I'm not so much worried about sunburn on my body, it is my shiny bald head that burns easily.
We have the first couple batches of chicks that are ready to be moved outside. As soon as they're outside then I have to do a cleaning of the shed so I can shuffle chicks everywhere and make room for more that are coming this week. Also, I just moved up the last batch of eggs in the incubator to the brooder so I can clean the bator out and let it dry today before I put 17 dozen eggs (sexlinks, some pet chicken eggs, serama, call ducks, and silver pheasants and the first couple amherst pheasant eggs).
Ugh ! It was a roating 85-90 here today...................right smack dab on the ocean !
had a nice breeze though~~~~~~~~
