turd of hurkeys...love it. How are my turd of hurkeys doing?

curious since I'm seeing a discussion kind of involving "frizzles"..... ;)

say you have 4 Frizzles -- 3 Frizzle, but 1 may turn out to be smooth. Do the smooth ones take on the personality of the smooth parent used vs the frizzle personality. I'm asking this since we "think" we have 2 possible cockerels and the 1 that has no frizzling what so ever so far, is more aggressive towards things than the one that is Frizzling - which is a little calmer. Was just curious on personality traits if they passed like that in regards to the Frizz's

I have no idea on that one.

Hens hatched 4, and we have them in the cabin with us as 1 brave boy escaped the netting we got..............and was out for 3 hrs in the storm, found all but dead when we got home, and in the brooder he went, and so DH got the other 3 and brought them inside as well.
All 4 newborns are fine~~~~~~~~~~~~

Too many cute baby chick posts, and hatching posts. I have 3 broody hens, and the kids want to put eggs under them. I won't do it because we already have 7 roosters.

Thunderstorming here. I think snow prediction is wrong, though we did get hail. Some of my hens don't care. I see them out there now in a squall, ignoring the weather and looking for worms~

Good to see ya here !
I miss you !!!
Also have alot of OEs.hatched another 12 today.................let me know, maybe need to do a meet up , I have a pullet for Fly Robin as well~

OK, baby pictures, right?

Today's baby girl, out of a blue roan Shorthorn/Angus f1 cow and the little roan Shorthorn bull I bought last spring:

In other news, we drenched the sheep with the same Valbizen the cattle got on Saturday, and I got three Hamburg, three EE and three Wyandotte eggs. The only nonparticipant was the broody Australorp.

Speaking of whom: do all broodies poo in their feed dishes, or is that her specialty?

ReikiStar. First of all where I got the post was from a link I posted on here probably about a month ago that was full of links.
He is a democrat if that matters who posted the story.
I guess it does to you.
He, like I, believe the government is out of control and have been out of control for over 70 years.

I went to your link and even if they do what they say there it is totally WRONG!
This isn't about democrats or republicans.

History shows no matter the party they can't read the constitution.
The powers they were granted by the constitution it never was dreamed it would come to others telling PARENTS where there kids could work or what kind of work they could do..
For years and years no matter who has been in office they have abused their power.

Men & Woman have died for that constitution protecting our way of life.
I have friends with lead in their gut, legs, head.
I support other organizations of our military people like http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/ who have gave all because they believe the constitution.

If after reading the link you gave me it is right what they are doing there I highly disagree with you.

I do believe if you have watched this government over the years you will agree no matter what party it is once they get the foot in the door before you know it they kick it in.
Once they get a little ways in you can bet your last dollar they have a goal where they want to be.

An example of that is going on right now with the tolls in our state. You'll find out soon enough what they have in mind.

No one has the right to tell my child, my neighbors child, any child where he can, or not work, nor what kind of work they can do.

This we got to protect our kids has gone to the extreme.

It is no surprise to me how many kids these days get to the age of 18 and our clueless about work.

In summary we will need to agree to disagree about this subject but I think we can both agree there is no better tasting eggs then from our coops every morning!

This weather better warm up.... the cardboard brooder is barely holding (in thanks to my girls). I have 17 birds and I have already expanded once. Can't do that with other kinds of brooders, so chalk one up for cardboard and duct tape! But seriously. When will the temperature meet me halfway here? That's what we get for starting them so early, I guess.

we had ours in the Jumbo 40 Gallon storage containers that they kind of "outgrew" - Babies on the other side of the block was not what we wanted.. so luckly we have a small shed behind the house that came with the property. They have loads of space to run & fly with no worries

I still had to make them a little "carboard house" to run into, but least we dont have to worry about waking up with them running around the Office room or somewhere in the house...lmao...
