Saturday is "THE BIG DAY" for the CornishX - time to say goodbye to all this lovely sunshine, say their prayers and go bye-bye. They are immense I tell ya. The ones from last week last 3 meals and then a pot of soup, so with the added week, they are going to be monsters. I'm looking forward to a much reduced feed bill!

I wonder if there is a market for chicken feet around here, I hate throwing stuff away (dog eats the heads)!

And a few gooses, and some ducks and maybe even a few bunnies. May as well get it all done at once. Hmm, I wonder, what can I do with those huge bunny feet?

Do they sell Rabbit's foot anymore?? Just sayn! LOL! Good luck! Man cornish x get crazy big so fast and they do eat like pigs! I call them pigs with wings!!

Is there a way you can take your youngest sister to live with you? I hope they find the other one soon, you might want to put her picture on here so we can keep a eye out for her? Just a thought. Im sorry your Dad is like that.
Good luck and let us know what happens.
Yeah, DH and I have been talking about it. It is just hard to all of a sudden add a teen, cause their needs are a bit more expencive (not the wants but those are too) We already have our 5 kids and when Rachel was living here my dad was supose to help with money (like child support) but he NEVER did. Not once. I am trying to think of anything and everything I can, but I am only 27yrs old and there is only so much I can do. But I am working on it! I will let you guys now when we here somthing.
Quote: Oh, that could be, I have one Australorp sitting on turkey eggs now. I guess I did not think of this because the one I already have has a rose comb where as this one has a tall single comb.
Thanks, I hope she comes back soon too.
I dont know but did they say they were all pullets, becasue the one looks like a roo.
Um, I can only assume you are talking to me. If you are, I thought the same thing at first, but the comb and waddles are not red or really even pink. It is lighter than the comb on my 4 wk old roo! But I hope "she" is not a he.

Hi y'all! Popping in to catch up. I'm SO sick! Turns out my allergies are actually under control, but I can't expect Zyrtec to take care of a wicked cold

I have literally done NOTHING today. I even instructed my 5 year old on how to make lunch today...from the comfort of the couch! He did great too! My sweet hubby bought me a Vitamix today though, so I did make us all smoothies for dinner, and then I made a latte freeze for myself a while ago. I LOVE it! I'm still figuring out how to get our coop and run done...thinking I may take up VF on his offer to come do it! Gotta PM him ASAP.

Took some sweet pictures of the girls tonight; they all line up on the plywood over the front door of the coop when I get them inside, then yell at me not to close them in for the night. It's hilarious. Pics coming soon!

Quote: They are articles now.

You can find them in your profile, it takes a little doing. Unclick all the green buttons except articles to search for it. About 1/2 way down the page.
You can link to them using the "my coop" field in your profile. Like I did
