Whew! 3 kids fed, kitchen cleaned up, now they're running around with beanies on their heads looking like criminals. They things they pretend are pretty funny!

Yay! I've been looking for days for fresh eggs locally and couldn't find anything closer that Auburn...I don't want to have to drive 15 minutes to get eggs. I just found a listing for them in Covington! Perfect...shouldn't be more than a 5 minute drive to get me some eggs this evening or in the morning

I want to know what brand of food that people prefer. All opinion please. Love to hear the whys also.

I am using "Payback" which comes in locally to Elma feed, their 20% "Basic Poultry" is a decent price.
I use it for the broilers "Cornballs"
As far as the layers & started birds...I have been mixing my own "scracth & peck" style.
I mix a bag of sunflower kernals (Walmart) with a bag of scratch (@$14) with a bag of rolled oats (Palouse brand $14) in a garbage can.
Add a few scoops of crushed oyster shell.
And they LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Far less cost than "Scratch & Peck" brand. I believe we should feed our Heritage breeds the heritage way, how Great Grandma did ! No by-products or post brewery products !

Hi Everyone Im days behind on whats going on.
On Sat night I feel when I went out to milk the goat, hubby had to help me up wasnt good. Left ankle I thought I broke it didnt ( Im a big baby) still hurts when I walk on it but not as bad. Monday got a bad sore throat and Tue called in sick cant talk. Husband told me to go to Dr so I did and have some meds to take now to get be better.
Got on the stupid comp today and my personal email wont open so bet I have something. Not my week.

Eprinex, and have a dust bath in coop for them, sand & a big scoop of DE they will dust themselves.
Permectrin II dilution is awesome !
Use as directed & spray the birds.
I sit in the yard in a lawn chair & spray every bird that wanders by...right in the rear !
Kinda fun !

Boy, I been thinking about CR & DW out on the beach trying to run sand dunes......in this awful weather !
What horrible weather to be on the coast !!!!!!!!!

I have not seen it rain this hard (HARD!!!!!!) all winter !
Actually was breaking up the zuchinni leaves !
I had to cover everything again with plastic green house film.
