I seem to remember someone telling me to stay away from him. Can't remember exactly, though.

I'm using some swap eggs to help test a new incubator (or I WOULD be if the vendor hadn't messed up and delayed my incubator, they're in my reliable incubator right now), so you're welcome to any of these little ones who happen to hatch. I'm sure we could figure out a place to meet. There are sebrights (don't look to be developing, though), bantam Cochins, some split bantam Cochins, and a couple of my LF mixed eggs as controls
OK thanks. I am only looking for pullets right now, not chicks. I wish I could have more chicks but we don't have room! Thanks for the offer though :)

Posting this again in case anyone missed it: I want 1-2 more birds, EEer/Ameraucana (light colored) OR Marans who will lay dark eggs or olive eggs. Must be 12-17 weeks old (prefer older than 14 weeks). Will pay $15/bird and drive an hour from 98042. Thanks!!

You can also try these guys in Port Orchard -- http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/grd/3097836656.html

I've dealt with them a lot and they're good people. If they don't have what you want, they are willing to keep you in mind until they do.

So sorry about your chickens Tamara! Dumb bobcat!

I was about to go nuts with BYC down for a while, LOL!

Has anyone bought chickens from "The Original Chicken Man" Donald Weeks in Orting? He has some I might consider but he also seems to have hundreds of birds...don't know how anyone could keep a healthy/clean flock with so many available. WDYT? Should I go check it out or search for small flock families to buy from?

I bought BCM from him last winter, with no problems. By no means are they show chickens, but they lay just fine, and super brown eggs. I have not gone back because I figured I'd get some more chickens this springfrom BYC, craigslist, etc. He seems to have odd ammounts of bantams, that don't really work for me.

He was kind of serious, and didn't laugh at my jokes, but whatever!

A neihbor lady bought from him in the past with no disease as well.

Snowman....Snowman...Snowman...

Please...anyone want a beautiful, friendly, sweet Splash Silkie Roo?? I'd make a great deal to a BYCer. Just want him to have a good home and not be alone.

And I'm getting some responses from a psychopath on Craigstlist.

I still can't take him, but please don't sell him to the psychopath!

(J/K - I KNOW you wouldn't!) And I'm sorry you're being hassled by a psychopath on Craigslist.

Grow out pens are for chicks too big for a brooder but still to small to move in with full size birds. So the "teenagers" live there until they "grow out" enough to go in with the adult birds which is when they are nearly full size.

P.S. Hey CL! In keeping with the theme, I named our young Olive Egger from you "Toscano" for the olive oil brand. Sure hope she lives up to the name when she starts producing eggs!

Isn't Tascano a boy name ?

Let me correct my spelling. Her name is "Toscana" named for the region of Tuscany in Italy where a lot of fine olive oil is produced. I'm sure she'll feel much better with the feminine spelling of her name!

She is a cutie though - still the bottom of the pecking order but knows how to stay out of the way. And she's learning quickly that when I call "chick, chick, chick" and the others come running that she'd better keep up if she wants any treats!
She's a good healthy bird - thank you!

So I tell you getting woke up at 12:30 by oldest son saying I just pick up younger brother he was in a accident its stinks! A dog ran out in front of his car he turned away and over corrected to much. Said the car turned all the way around Mom, asked him if he hurt anyplace he said no just my hands.
