I'm not sure if the posting will stay there, but I added a comment.

Hopefully, it is positive enough yet states the truth enough that they won't feel they can remove it.

Wow, they are fast at removing any comment that is anti-vegan, aren't they? That's the trouble with web sites. It's one thing to remove comments that are just plain rude and nasty (or of inappropriate content), but it bugs me when freedom of discussion gets moderated.

ETA: I thought your post was great. At least the moderator got to read it. In a way, I hope she gets to read lots of opinions that oppose her view that might help her become a little more tolerant toward the freedom of choice.

Just a thought...

She's a vegan, promoting vegans starting animal sanctuaries, which, by my interpretation means she's going to keep animals that she rescues. If she keeps and lets animals live in their natural state, what is she going to do with...

That rats that overrun her sanctuary (so far she's rescued 5). I see she has only rescued dogs and rats. Interesting choice of animals to rescue. Dogs, ok, but rats?

Too bad she didn't live closer. I'd let her rescue the rats that live in my neighbor's woodpile. That would save me some money on bait blocks.

Hopefully, someone will let her rescue some bunnies and chickens. Then, what will she do with...

The bunnies that overrun her sanctuary?

The chickens, who lay eggs nearly every single day? Of course, she doesn't have to keep a roo, but that wouldn't be "natural" now, would it? So, it's better to throw an egg in the garbage than it is to view it as a gift of nature?

Sometimes the best lessons in life are experience. It is easy to judge others when you can remain clueless about life situations. I do know (from experience), the people who think they would be the best parents in the world, are those who have never had children. This is kind-of along that line. This gal doesn't raise chickens - probably doesn't fully grasp the reality of a chicken's life cycle - so she believes herself to be an expert.

Hello everyone. I mostly lurk on this thread.

Chicken Rustler it looks like you have birds from Cloverleaf. I have a few Favs. from her. I have one of Fudge's sons. This is Truffle and he is just a sweetie.

He is always trying to romance the ladies. He will be going to my moms who is planning on breeding Favs. Unfortunately my Favs have not been able to get along with my other birds. I am happy to see Fudge has girls of his own.

When ever I go to the page it just shows a post form 6-6-12 then a response from the auther, my post and then nothing. I can't see any other posts other than that.

We don't see your post, we see someone else post. From what I see, it looks like they deleted your post and the system renumbered them.

Isn't a sanctuary in its self being cruel to the animals. Are animals really meant to be confined.

What is wrong with me? I want a dog. Ugh. I hate dogs. this has been going on for weeks. I keep getting an inkling that since we have an indoor cat and outdoor chickens, we need a dog. eesh. I don't even like dogs. I like puppies. NOT dogs. Maybe I need to meet the right dog. I grew up with large dogs like Dobermans and Labs, Pit Bulls and Rotts, but why OH! why, suddenly, do I think I need a dog!? ew. I don't like dogs they smell and are SO high maintenance. hrmph.

Oh goodness, after cleaning up dog poop for so many years, I SO don't want another dog. DH desperately wants another bird dog (which, I think, is the *real* motivation for the concrete floor, dig-proof chicken run... but, shhhh... don't tell him I'm onto it).

There's two smells in life that I just can't stand... wet dog, and dog poop! If we had a big yard, I'd be OK with it, but our place is just too tiny for a lab. They need a lot of space to run and play. My girlfriend has 2 acres, and her brown lab still drives her crazy. We ended up giving her our chain link dog kennel because her lab is so out of control, chewing up everything, mastering the art of escape, etc.
