So sorry to hear.

Managed to dodge the needle one more time. I would rather have stitches with out numbing than have blood drawn. It hurts way more for me and I always end up with a big bruise. Safe for another 6 months

Yep, and I'm pretty sure most of those breeds you just listed go after chickens......
All dogs will go after poultry until you train them what you want them to do.
Consult a pro- trainer if you have an issue, and if you have no time to train a dog, then forget it.
There is NO DOG breed that will protect poultry that comes right from the welp into your hands, it has to be trained.
To be trained requires your involvement.
If you do not have that capacity of time to dedicate to training, which may go on for at least 2 years, then forget it.

Quote: Oh darn and yeah at the same time. I am happy that it has a chance of being a hen still, but darn I have to just wait and see. Thanks for sharing those pics for me, they do look a lot alike other than mine has a bit of white feathering coming in like a coller around it's neck.
Quote: My DH owns PCS construction, so I have acess to what ever equiptment I need. Backhoe with forks to pick it up and load it and dump trucks and flat beds to haul it home.
Dad died last night.
Oh, I am so very sorry.

I am not sure about having stitches with out numbing stuff, because I have never had stitches. But people look at me funny when I say I would rather sit and get another tattoo for 4 hours than get me blood drawn. That's just me though.

Is anyone interested in approximately 50+lbs of Scratch and Peck Grower feed? After debating with myself and considering all options, I have decided this isn't the best feed for my flock. They simply aren't growing as fast as many other birds their age (when compared to my friends' flocks) and I think they aren't absorbing the nutrients like they should. I provide grit but it isn't helping the matter, and despite how much I love my chickens (as evidenced by the fact I sleep in the guestroom with sick birds, LOL!), I just don't want to hassle with scooping out all the extra crumbs from that particular feed and mixing it in with something else so they will eat it. What I have left is worth at least $30 dollars and I'm asking $20 for it, just to pay for another bag of feed. It's currently in my airtight feed container so you'll need your own pillow case to transport it home. It's Grower, for 8-20 weeks. Let me know!

Feed them appropriate feed for thie age, and use scratch as a treat.
ALL my birds LOVE scratch.

I'm not talking about scratch, I'm talking about the brand of feed called Scratch and Peck. It's 50+lbs of grower stage feed I want gone. Don't worry, Im not feeding my chickens scratch alone
