OMGosh I wish I'd seen those chicken fireworks!! I so would have gotten some :) We had a great time yesterday despite me being sick. I'm still awfullly gross and sick, and I can barely type! Ugh.

How does one go about explaining to their almost 4y/o daughter that no, she cannot go pee on a tree like her brothers?

She wants to be like them so badly! Good thing she's obedient or I'd have a big drawer dropping problem outta her, but luckily she comes in the house :)

BIG NEWS: RICKY IS CROWING!!!! It's absolutely pitiful and adorable and I've been following him around all morning trying to get a video of it with no luck! Grr...He is 11.5 week old

Yay Ricky! =) I also heard our little Brabanters trying to crow this morning, also quite sickly but cute!

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Dawn :) I'm sitting here thinking I might get dressed soon...maybe. I feel like I got hit by a truck. I have my 3 kids and 6 neighbor kids in my backyard right now. I should probably make sure their mothers know they are here and see if they aren't drowning in the creek.

FirewifeJess- I hope you feel better soon. It's no fun being sick, let alone being sick when we finally have nice weather.

Yeah, my dog Jazz is home now. He had done just what we though he would never do.... he crossed Bothell Everett Hwy and took himself on a walk to the nature preserve. A great lady was on a walk with her dog and Jazz followed her. Then she was going to cross the street to go home and he was still following her and she did not want him to get hit by a car so she leashed him up with her dog and took him home. She called me right when we got home from PAWS in Lynnwood, where I filled out a lost dog paper and put it in the binder. She took him to PAWS and found the paper in the binder and called me. She was nice enough even to bring him back and meet me at the store. I bought her a $20 gift card for Starbucks and offered to fill up her gas tank, but she said no.

I am so glad my baby is home now! I told him no more taking walks by himself.

Congrats on the roosters crowing guys. I have two pullets that are 17 weeks old and I am waiting for them to start laying. One is a Barred Rock and one Road Island Red. Also I have 6 that are 15 weeks old, one Red Star, one Buff O, two that are either Black Australorps or Jersey Giants, then one bantam Blue Cochin and Tiny Tina which sounds like she is a Serama. I can't wait for them all to begin laying!!!! The anticipation is killing me.

Lol! I love my cats! They are afraid of my chickens, but they love the humans, and that's all I care about.
I said CATS! I didn't say anything about kitties. I like kitties, just don't like it when they grow up into Cats!. DD's kitty was sleeping on me last night for a while. Besides I've been nice to your cats when I've been at your place. But I know you weren't talking about ME when you said you were going to box some ears!!!
