Awesome! I'm close to Vancouver, WA and looking for Cochin pullets hatched this year or other quiet breeds that were hatched this year and ready to go outside. Looking for probably 2 pullets. Send me a message if you've got something like that or suggestions!

I don't know off the top of my head of anyone with Cochins - but you might want to post in the Oregon thread too since you're further south. (Lots of the OR folks visit our thread too.)

We just hatched some bantam Cochins today, partridge and mottled. Whatever Chubby Chicken doesn't want is available. Not ready to go outside yet, of course

I am having a hard time finding any 6-15 week old pullets as I want to add a third to my flock. If anyone knows of some for sale near Edmonds, WA I am looking for a Wellsummer, Maran or Wynadotte. Currently have an Easter Egger and a Buff Orpington. Thank you!

Oh I could make a nice coop with that stuff..

Oh, ok, so I am guessing that a lot of homemadey "french milled, " is actually double milled or processed, or whatever, it's not the process, it's a machine? Bummer! One time I put tea tree oil in glycerine, ut that is the extent of my soapmaking. I have always wanted to make it with lye, but I lived in Idaho, and lye is illegal there because of methamphetamine makers, I am guessing.
You can still get lye you just need to get it at a chemical store. I get my lye in huge buckets not fun stuff I tell ya..

Yes - I have heard of some people referring to french milled as rebatched, double processed, etc. I've not made that either. Someday I'll monkey up a batch enough that I'll make some =)

Ive re batched a few times, what I do is after I cut the soap to size I save everything than with all the odds and ends I make something from it. A lot of people like the smell and the look of the soap
