I have my first broody! One of my blue EEs, about a year old. I'd put her in the small coop, but I've moved the peachicks in there for now until I get them sold. She's just going to have to bide her time on the plastic eggs in the "uncool" nest.......

Well -- you know how to quote - because you quoted me -- see the button that says "multi" just to the left of the 'quote' button?  As I'm reading the posts and I want to reply, I click "multi" when I've reached the end of the post, I then click the "Post a Reply" button (lower left corner of your screen it is blue).  That then puts all the quotes in to the reply box.  I add my comments and click submit ... nothing to it :)

Thank you for the tutorial!:)

It is a native species here, right ?
Noxious in that it can kill livestock, but native nonethe less.
Now blackberries are on MY LIST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Holly, we have several large Holly trees, and sprouts all over !

And Water Hemlock...talk about drop-dead poisonous !
One very good reason I cannot get goats.

Foxglove is not native. Poisonous, toxic, but not legally noxious.
Water hemlock? I know of some similar species that are native and considered toxic. Hemlock is, yes massively toxic.

Quote: This is a good reminder, last week we took away the feed about 12 hours before. It worked out for the most part. But all my other girls were confused as to why the food had gone away. They were very happy to see the feed come back later that day.
I have raised this batch of meat birds in the run with the rest of the flock. This group of meaties has acted more like real chickens, than any previous flock has. But I am going to be happy when the meaties are no longer in the run.

I had to go to Bonney Lake last this afternoon, and I got a box of Nitrile gloves.I do own a hemostat, and a couple of pairs of needle nose pliers.

Quote: Well you are going to need to be hear around noon to 12:30pm. It isn't really graphic because the bird is in the cone. I will do my best to make sure that you don't get hurt to bad if you pass out though. There are enough of us that we should be able to keep an eye on you.

The kids from next door are going to join us also. The oldest boy is very interested in hunting, so he needs to learn what it's really like to kill a animal and plan on eating it.

The chicks under my broody hen are hatching.  I set 6 Coronation sussex, and 4 silver sussex eggs.  So far I have two black-(silvers)  one yellow -(coronation)  and one purple chick.

The lady in Buckley, where I got the eggs had a lavender project.  Orphingtons, I think.

Did you get you eggs from Julie in Buckley?
