Is there anyone between Sammamish and Enumclaw that has roosters they don't want and are ok with them being dinner? I am going to Freezer Camp at Justbugged's on Sunday and wanted to bring at least 1 of my own birds. Thanks!

I have to decided start a lemon blue bantam cochin project. I am looking for quality Splash, Brown-red or lemon blues. I also put an ad up. Wish me luck, I have bantam cochins in my heart.

Does that include silkies? I have a silkie that I think about bringing to the livestock auction every Saturday. He's yours if you want him.
Ah, I will have to try that clever trick with my mouse traps!!!If you use the old fashion traps, here's the trick Do NOT put the peanut butter on Top of the trigger put it on the Bottom of the trigger between the trigger and the wood trap. That way the rat has to put his nose in between the trigger and the trap and push up. this will set off the trap. A rat or mouse can eat the peanut butter off the top of the trigger without setting it off! I wasn't catching anything with the food on top of the trigger. they would get it without setting off the trap. then I put it under the trigger and caught two in three days![]()
A big ditto from me!!!!As a relative newcomer to this forum I certainly don't know you as well as many here do. I mostly do as my generation was frequently told to do...."sit down, shut up and listen and you might just learn something." Which, I guess, qualifies me as a lurkerbut I have learned a lot from everyone on this thread and have found that I look forward to seeing your posts, whatever the topic of the day may be. You seem to be friendly, knowledgeable, frequently funny and always willing to share in order to help others here. I am sure that I'm not alone when I say that I would be saddened to see you "back away" from something that you obviously enjoy being a part of and I am glad that you have chosen to just ignore whoever was giving you grief.![]()
What a beauty!!! My house came with 3 regular blue boys who were very skittish. We don't have them anymore but I have lots of their awesome feathers!
What a horrible time for you when it should be a wonderful one with your upcoming wedding. I hope you heal fast and have an amazing start on your new life! I really wish I could help you out with the birds but I am on the opposite side of the state.Friday night I lost 2 people I knew, 1 of which was like a sister to me, in a motorcycle accident on cooper mountain.
I have a bunch of extra chicks/chickens I just can't deal with right now on top of everything else.....
I would like to offer them for sale for a steal of a price just to get the numbers down and get some relief. I have way to many right now and am just overwhelmed...... These are all worth way more then list price and I will give a huge discount for 5 or more chicks...... I will donate most of these chicks to a 4h home as well so please contact me for details.
They are not from hatchery birds! The parents are all show and breeding quality stock who do very well in the eastern states.
What I have is:
3 weeks old $5 each
All are LF and are strait run but I have sold most I "think" are the males. Its still possible I missed one or two in the bunch.....
2 Barred Rock
2 Splash Jersey Giants
3 Black Jersey Giants
1 blue Jersey Giant
3 Black TRUE Ameraucanas
2 RARE Gold laced Brahmas $20 each
8 weeks old $15 each
Showgirl Silkies while, partridge and splash
2 Silkie roosters $10 each or fee if you buy anything else!
1 is really nice BQ splash, is almost 2yrs old, he has a correct comb but his comb is a little bit to red and he got into a fight with my rabbit and lost a toe nail... long story....
1 is a really nice white boy, 1 year old who is great with the girls and amazing with chicks. Could be shown but he is moulting right now so isn't 100%.
I would like to rehome them ASAP as I have 2 funerals coming up this weekend then I am getting married the following weekend.
And they can fly, so if you don't free range them, they have to be in a big covered (net) pen with roosts about 10ft high.

All my neighbors said that the people who owned the house before us had owned peacocks; they said there was routinely a peacock on someone else's roof, or sounding like it was screaming from the backyard; apparently they scream?! And I thought chickens made weird noises!
