Just dropped off my Eater Egger Rooster last night at Seattle Farm Supply. I was able to swap him for a pullet but if anyone is looking for a gray and white EE rooster that's the place to go!

Thank you every one for the well wish's, he is doing a lot better than he has in the past ( I think) he had to take me to the DR yeasterday. ( ok now be nice I am a dizzy blond) I cant stand or walk right now I have something going on with my ear that makes me dizzy ( dont say it LOL ) It should go away with time the DR said but in the mean time I wont be reading much or walking. Crawling on my hands and knees sounds pretty good.

But Im a lot better than I started off so hope it will be gone soon... Have a great day everyone..

Silkie question... DH and I were talking about what our next 3 birds would be. He's concerned about Silkies. He works with someone who has a mean Silkie that attacks. Is this a common Silkie trait? I don't know if the Silkie his co-worker has is a Cockeral/Roo or Pullet/Hen.

Ive had two mean roosters that went to the other side but the hens have always been sweet never mean..

There were NO pickets out this morning!! I heard they are voting on a contract. You know they will accept it now !!

Brother says the company gave the union the contract for 98K 2 months ago and they refused it, and went out on strike anyways.
Now they have reconsidered the 2 month old contract, but since they did not accept it in the first place, and DID strike, all the drivers who went on strike lost the company's $2000. contract signing bonus, and 2 weeks pay while they were out on stike.
this is the 3rd time the union has voted to strike and the drivers once again have gained nothing, and lost wages while picketing.
he says teamsters union reps are a joke, and misadvise drivers and workers, and the workers & drivers loose so much in the process.

All of this drama & loss could have been spared if the nuts had signed the contract 2 mo ago AND they all would have had a $2000. contract bonus on their paychecks.

Anyone in the area have some mille fleur d'uccle chicks? I'd prefer to get a few from someone in the area rather than order online, but I know I'm late in the season...

Hey I forgot to tell you this:
My brother is a manager at WM, has been for many years and has seen several strikes.
The drivers are getting 98K a year, full benefits package with dental, vision, and retirement plans.

This is not good enough for the union and so the strikers are still striking.
This figure works out to almost 8K a month !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The scab drivers that are coming in by the plane & busload are WM sub drivers from all over the country, not just nobodies off the streets as the union is making the public believe, these scabs are WM drivers, experienced in all phases of pick up & driving.

At a time when alot of folks have NO JOB, these guys are striking...I cannot believe the glutony !!!!!!!!!!

So, the strikers just may loose out.

Too many "starving" people would dearly love a 98K a year job !!!!!!!!!
Shame on the strikers !!!!!!!!!!!

If I was younger & lived closer, I'd go drive for WM in a heartbeat.

While I know that there are some good reasons for union and many are pro union. This is a prime example of why I am not. If those drivers don't like the package they have they are at will to leave and allow someone who would appreciate that job to step in.

Sounds like vertigo (sp) been there. The worst scariest drunk trip you can imagine! Good luck hope ya get better soon.
