So, I am picking up a Silkie rooster on Sunday. He was going to be dinner, but after seeing the pictures I just couldn't do it. SO...now I need a Silkie hen too. The rooster was hatched in April, so if anyone has an age appropriate Silkie hen for sale let me know.

Thanks!

Silkie males can be aggressive sometimes, cochins, too. A breeder once told be that the gene for profuse feathering seem to be linked to aggressive temperament, so they weren't able to breed it out. (Like aggressive bulls siring cows that produce more milk, I guess.) I always have very sweet Polish males, though.

OK, here's the gross mole removal tour:
Day 4, after stopping treatment because the white ring appeared outside the mole:

Day 5, white ring a little bigger:

Day 8, mole is a little "loose" on the sides:

Day 9, hanging by a thread!

Day 10, today; it came out after I swam and softened it up! Nice crater huh? It'll fill in though:

So yeah, gross but all natural, and the product you get is probably enough to do about 6 treatments of different things ( at different times); you want them to heal first before starting another. Here's the link to the website; I recommend the healing salve too, well worth it IMO!

Meanest bird I ever had was a RIR, if we can't count parrots.

crazy! you're brave. Did you just hate the mole or was ir weird? Biopsies hurt.

It was kind of taggy and caught on my necklaces :( I think this would be better than a biopsy because it's only going as deep as the bad tissue instead of excising some amount of tissue and being unsure how deep to go. It is crazy though, I'm glad it's gone and healing! I will post a pic once it is done scabbing and is flat again. I plan to use it in a couple weeks on a large mole on my back as well, but DH will have to do all the work! gross
