RE: packing peanuts - I've been told the new "green" ones are made of corn starch so won't last a zillion years in the landfill like the regular styrofoam ones.

See I don't need a comb because my head is one of the perfect ones that doesn't need to be hidden by hair. But the only pic I have to prove that is one of my head all bloody as it was having a few stitches to close that little 2" cut a while back.

Well got the Banty birds run all cleaned out today - Gave them their medicated water
Had my dad pick up some yogurt as well - They LOVED it.. hahaha was like a baby having their first B-Day cake, it was everywhere...lol

I just need to clean out their coop - but its a lil too hot in there for me to do that now, So I will this evening when it's a lil cooler..

Anyone know if there's a way to "sterilize" the ground from the Cocci parasite - or is there no way of getting around that, just curious... My mom thought of maybe can sterilize if there was a way.

Thanks Bunches for the help =) Hopefully we caught it in time - the bloody mess just started - I bout freaked out when I opened the coop & it looked like a massacre - checked for anything external - nothing.. thought maybe a baby baby got nabbed, nothing.. til while I was checking birds I saw the poo outside & figured it out... as I remembered the main symptom was the blood for it. So Thanks to u all - for insightful info on things to of remember that =)

You can't sterilize for it AND there are MANY different strains so like a bird that is fine at my place may get sick at say your place or at kims or the other way round.

Interesting....with all this hedgehog talk lately, I just read an email that I got from the Oregon State Veterinarian's office (I get them all due to my profession) and there's been a multi-state salmonella outbreak, linked to hedgehogs, with 5 cases reported in the state of Washington.

Ya just always gotta be the party poopier don't ya

I too have one of those perfect heads that the ladies all love.
The scar that I have is a mere inch long, but a scar is a scar and the chicks dig scars. Right?

My bee hives are thriving and I used my welder the other day.
